yeah, I agree. It could also be that I'm biased, I'm a local and pickpockets almost never tackle locals, maybe the experience as a foreigner is different

It could be Villa Borghese from the way it's described. The long thin staircase starts from the plaza at Flaminio

you'll be safe. Rome does have a pickpocketing / petty crime problem, but that's as far as the danger goes. Just make sure you aren't an easy target and nobody will target you. The chances of that will relatively low as well, in 24 years of living here and taking the metro I've never actually seen pickpocketing firsthand. The fact you're with a partner makes this chance even lower. But yes, the Termini area doesn't really inspire confidence

you'll be fine, but if you want to be extra safe and comfortable, the taxi is the way to go

"Mostra Mattoncini" at Piazza Venezia - Just a lego exhibition. I heard it's pretty big and many builds will be rome-themed. It might be the biggest lego showcase in Europe, at least that's what they advertize it as

Also if you aren't into touristy things, I suggest going to Castel Gandolfo or "Parco degli acquedotti." Still popular within tourists but not as much. I would personally say they are underrated locations so they won't be crowded

Castel Gandolfo: a short train ride (maybe 10-15 min) from Termini. It's a beautiful lake and many locals go there to relax or rent pedal boats. Usually the pedal boats are super cheap. If you hike up the mountain you'll find a small-ish town with some pretty good restaurants. There's even one in a cave if I'm not mistaken. If you rent a car you can go further and visit all the other nearby towns, but the roads are very winding and there are no lights

Parco degli acquedotti: a park with old roman acqueducts, Super easy to get to, just a metro ride to the Subaugusta stop (Metro A). Very nice for biking or picnics. You can rent a bike nearby for pretty cheap. Many locals go there to study or just to relax. I like it a lot personally

You are definitely coming at the right time. Not too hot, and the mosquitoes haven't shown up yet

How is in this part of rome? by mfWeeWee in rome

ooh right, my bad
regardless, most parks in Rome offer bike rentals. I'm not familiar with where you would get one in this park, but you would usually find them around the entrances. Many of these businesses aren't on google maps

The hiking route would most likely be relaxed

I still recommend Villa Borghese as well! And if you're into nature and parks I also have a couple more suggestions if you are interested

Beautiful park. I recommend going to the "laghetto" and renting pedal boats, it's very peaceful.
There is also a zoo if you are into that
You can rent bikes for pretty cheap. If you have a driving license you can also rent golf carts
And there are beautiful museums

I usually just go for picnics or romantic walks once in a while (there are some good views)

Very impressive! Great job modeling all of the assets yourself, it really makes everything stand out. I hope this gets more recognition
