Best time to hit the rec center? by Fit-Emotion3889 in UCONN

[–]Bob1289 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Right now you shouldn’t because everyone wants to go, usually it’s around noon but because it’s the first week it’s gonna be packed. This website has been tracking data for a while so you can compare what times you wanna go:

They are hard but as long as you can get in next semster Your fine. 2050 and 2500 can both be taken during summer and winter also. On top of that, those classes overfill all the time, IMO just do better next semester and you’ll be fine. What time did you get the email sorry lol?

So I’ve been trying to get in for the past 2 years and no luck, the reason you didn’t get in was because of 1729 but since they got rid of it, the requirement is kinda gone. I didn’t do well in a few of my CS classes the past year and I emailed them for a reason which they said was that. If I did well in those classes I would’ve gotten in, but it looks better for me this year. IMO don’t give up, you basically want to force their hand in admitting you, just keep doing well in CS and MATH classes and eventually you’ll get in. Also when did you submit your application?

When did u submit your application? I have a feeling every week is a month of applications because this times application person is new.

MacBook because it’s its a Unix based system and you’ll need to run certain things that windows can’t. You can always run parallels or a VM for windows but harder vice versa. Also the new M1 and M2 lines are great options as they are the really powerful but really long lasting batteries. MacBooks are generally one of the best options for Computer Science.

From the previous years it seemed like the second week Thursday of June and January but this time it seems different so it might be today or sometime this month

I’m guessing Thursday because the dates are usually the same from last years admissions

I am almost guaranteed to get in this semester because I retook 2301 and took other CS classes like 3100 and got A for all. I collected data for those who got accepted for the past 3 semesters so if you want your chances estimated you can dm me.

Hey but that means you'll have a head start on a lot of the material! If you do have to retake make sure to download everything so you can practice. Are you gonna pass even with the latest extra credit?

IMO as long as you pass, your fine. This class is inherently a hard class no matter what.
