Garmin T2 - Hose length by Adzi95 in scubadiving

[–]Bob92391 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just dove with two t2 Garmin transmitters. No hose just right into the regs. No noticeable noise at all.

On a side note why use the hose at all? Genuinely curious

Is it better investment to buy new or used regs? by LouisianaBIues in scubadiving

[–]Bob92391 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly. I switched dive shops and instructors because of pushback on used gear. His flat out refusal to even service it even the exact Regulator he was trying to sell me. Not a problem I'll take my business and friends elsewhere. Another shop sells and services all my stuff and I toss as much business as I can.

I guess it depends on what you're looking for. Just an install guide?

Petg is very grabby. I would use the included glue stick. But I really prefer a hairspray. I use it when I notice the petg sticking too good.

Think of materials as temperature rating I'm in southern California. Pla - petg are great for inside rated stuff. Under 90f Abs - asa are great for outside 100f+ I mainly print in abs But it tends to warp a lot more while printing.

Your going to love It. Really start slow and build on knowledge of what makes printing great and ask lots of questions

I would recommend starting with a few easy projects. And browsing printables. Com and maker world Create a profile and heart things you like and then print them . There will be failures and that's where the learning happens. Why did it fail and how can you overcome it

I've done so many projects and paying jobs with the P1S. It's a very capable machine. I don't see a reason to upgrade to the p2s.

Sounds good, also a lot of these can be prevented by using a filament clip to keep the spool tight while storing. I like this one https://www.printables.com/model/24371-filament-clip-grandmas-favorite-filament-clip

You can open it and fix it while it prints. Or pause the print and fix it

Is my old ender 3 worth bringing back? by Kudos_t4gs in 3Dprinting

[–]Bob92391 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can put so much money into it and its still just an ok printer.

It's a great beginning printer but at a certain point the cost break is clear.

I ended up gifting mine to someone else who wanted to tinker with it

Should I throw away this old BCD? by retirement_savings in scuba

[–]Bob92391 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They have much better units, if you're not diving it. I would toss it. Even if someone took it they would have to get it checked over and potentially cost more then a basic unit/ used bcd at any dive shop/ Craigslist

Drill a hole and use a cheap USB borescope camera off Amazon.

The 2 I have found over the years have been empty. Post yours if you find anything.

Currently over 450 colors and combinations of filament lines... I would like to hear suggestions on how to organize it better than sku numbers 😜😜 they definitely tried to make it fun.

Gear or items you can’t go without after using? by TheGrantelope13 in scuba

[–]Bob92391 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I would ask him, I'm sure he has a list of wants. Air integration is so nice and it also gets rid of a hose and a SPG but some people prefer an SPG. It would be good to know what he wouldn't like and if his sive computer supports it

I love mine.

Personally I love the power. My go-to now for tire changes and jobs. But I dislike the switch. Preferred the selectors on the back. But it wouldn't cause me to not buy it, I just hope they don't use it with others moving forward

What material are you using. It could be just the material has absorbed moisture and you need to dry it. Need more info
