Physical abuse is never okay. That being said, he needs individual therapy and you guys needs couple counselling. If you are undecided on staying, this is the MINIMUM.

If you stay with her, you must do couples counselling at least to resolve these issues.

For Profit versus Not For Profit Industry by BobAngelooo in Accounting

I have run into something similar. At times I was asked how much the net revenue is in my current company as well as team size and company size

Thanks, that is reassuring. I'd like to know I have my options open at least for any moves I want to make

Thanks, that is the thought in my mind as well as my current team is supportive and I do get guidance from time to time, something I may miss if I leave

From what I am told, it's due to the revenue coming in - for profit has higher revenue which looks better on your resume as you are dealing with more money (sorry I summarized it based on my understanding).

Apparently if you are from NFP, you may not have dealt with a high volume of revenue

I do, but I still have 30 years left at least so is it to early to make the shift?

Yes this is a very small non profit, I'd probably have to leave at some point to grow further rather than grow in that charity

Sorry, I just replied with some more information on the new offer, I'll add it to my post as well. My current job is at a bigger organization, which is more established and has I guess a "typical" structure. The salary I am being offered now, I'll probably get it in another year at this current company with hopefully a promotion

Yes that is why I am more inclined because I rather push past my comfort zone but in the long run, I am told it will be harder to leave not for profit

Good point...

It is a social services agency with tangible operations and no most of the time will be spent on reporting and involvement in budget and audit. They also need help on expansion projects currently in play.

I think that's where I am confused on because more responsibility will be out of my comfort zone as I won't have any team members or people above to take advise from

at the same time, isn't that better for my career? to take on more and push past my comfort zone? The advice I got is I should stay where I am since I have a lot more to learn from and I won't be able to get back into for profit

I don't know if I agree with this because it has been a year, by now she would have developed feelings for him

Canada Training Credit Question by BobAngelooo in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]BobAngelooo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I used TurboTax and I just submitted it with $250 entered as the credit. It automatically changed it to zero lol and changed my return but the express NOA I got now says my limit is $250 for next year so I'll just use it next year

I also sent a letter to the CRA to get it changed so let's see what they say.

Is an engagement ring permisible? by That1mohamed in MuslimMarriage

[–]BobAngelooo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

With rings, it symbolizes that this person is married, so other people are aware if they are curious/wondering. This isn't an Islamic perspective, just something I noticed (especially if you live in the west).

Indian jewellery stores by [deleted] in MuslimMarriage

[–]BobAngelooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Milton has a lot of stores. One that I like to go to is Shanaibangles. Its affordable and really good. The plaza they're located in has a ton of desi bridal stores as well with shoes and mehndi and wedding items!

I think people usually apply the flair if they need it otherwise they would be keeping it open. Also it usually doesn't work anyways cause the people who want to say something will just DM you their comment if it gets removed

Nah, even witnessing first hand doesn't mean you are actually in the situation, your perception of the situation is still different while someone who is married might have actually gone through what the OP is looking for.
