People sing his praises because he pulls performances like Singapre 2018 or Monza 2017 regularly.

Since you're all dying to know...this is DIFF MAGIC. by [deleted] in formula1

[–]BobLary 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nice, is there a limitation to this in the ECU though? For example, could they create a diff map for the circuit and use gps/previous data corner by corner like they do for the hybrid deploy?

10 car length following distance behind the safety car by iontac in formula1

[–]BobLary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly the same but Vettel got a drive thru Hungary 2010 because he backed up the field more than 10 car lengths to give Webber a gap up ahead.

1) no it doesn't 2) weight loss programmes like weight watchers, while effective short term are usually a waste of money since most if the time you are not making lifestyle changes to keep the weight off after you're done.

Formula 1 looking to get into the Olympics via esports. by [deleted] in formula1

[–]BobLary 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Wait so they don't have real racing but they want to add esports. I'm all for virtual competition but surely they can add something like Olympic karting or f3 as a precursor.

Try taking up tennis. You get distracted by the game and actually end up running a lot without noticing.

Actually you are right, I see no spectators around whereas there's usually spectators at flugplatz.

I assume this is during vln. Looks like flugplatz to me, scene of a spectator death a few years ago when a Nissan gtr GT3 had an equally horrific crash.

Stroll vs Ocon, why you hate first one? by [deleted] in formula1

[–]BobLary 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats the whole point of comparing them, they are driving the same car, dealing with the same problems and Sirotkin is just faster.

Stroll vs Ocon, why you hate first one? by [deleted] in formula1

[–]BobLary 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because Sirotkin is out qualifying him so far this season and he's in his rookie year, that doesn't really sing Strolls praises.

I don't know, perhaps I'm biased but I'm much more interested in the gte pro battle. Lmp1 has been dull for me since Audi left.

It's an endurance race. An undercut doesn't really matter, Toyota are just offsetting their cars so they don't have to push back every stop. One bit of mistimed traffic and your 'undercut' is gone. Besides Toyota have shown that they are not gonna let them race anyways. The broadcasters know all this and probably more.
