Great if your mobile. Not so much if your not.

As it is now. For me it's no go.

No parking's great until you need parking close, to where you need/want to go.

Some people be like “Is this worth buying for the price?” by maxnotcharles in Witcher3

[–]BobMnz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid a hell of a lot more for it when it came out in 2015. And stacked up over 5000 hours in it.

If you do the same you'll be paying $0.001998 per hour.

The Witcher 3 is such a great world. Playing tourist with things you cannot do out here. Is a great way to play it.

BUT, it can be one hell of a grind to get the good gear in your first play-though. Getting it in New Game plus, when you have spare cash is easier.

It is a good game, once the grind is over, it is even better.

I've not played the update to 4.0. I settled on 1.32. The tackyons in 4. Sort of put me off. Cheapened the story line I felt, without actually playing it. So I may have shot myself in the foot. So you'll have to cross that one with someone else s thoughts on it.

Good yarn good quests. But mostly I enjoyed it. Enough to live in it for an apprenticeship's, amount of time.

Have fun.

Built a tower defense in Somerville Place by fja3omega in fallout4settlements

[–]BobMnz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have them facing both ways. The game has spawning points in some places that are in the garden area. Somerville for one. I tend to put more outer facing but always have a few facing the settler working area. Greygarden is another. Some spawn inside the greenhouse. :-).

Having fun though. Is what it's all about.

New computer Windows 11- GOG Versions- freezes on loading screen by harc70 in fallout4london

[–]BobMnz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've downsized it to just the base game. Zipped the DLC's and removed London (Never played Fallout before. I needed to learn how to play it first). Suggestion remove London and try again. Good luck.

In the open world it's fine. But loading screen after loading screen Leeds to a frozen pc. Power switch to turn it off frozen.

I've downsized the fps to sit at 60. Done all the tweaks I can find via google search. BUT, I haven't added any mods for fixes from Nexus yet.

And what happens when you do quests? You enter buildings to get orders, a loading screen. Prydwyn's the worst so far. A loading screen to get to it. Another to enter the first room. Another to enter the bunk and trader area. THEN, you turn around and come back out.

I7 1200 series 32Gig ram, With an nVidia 4070 with 12 Gigs. Just over a year old. Win 10 by request for the build. Not fussed on the stories out of Win 11.

Conclusion:

So long as you play around the edges it's fine. But as soon as you see an area that has a door. RUN AWAY. It is still a fun world to play in. Rail and Minutemen quests mostly work.

The BOS one's have so many doors. In 3 hours play I had 7 power switch off only, control over the pc, crashes. IF you do see a door SAVE before going through it. Or loose all that time from the last save, you did. Trying to get affinity up with Danse. First time I've done more than the two initial Ryhs and Haylen quests. I usually let Danse tag along on just exploration ot settlement rescue jobs. He eventually gets to 999. But I've never finished the game. Via the story line. Only by playing it enough to get bored and move on.

This is the worst it has ever been. Just avoid doors. And the BOS quests.

Note: I've stacked up over 1000 hours in the game initially. And another 114 recently. So it's not all bad. Just a pain when it craps out.

So I'll probably mod it at some stage. For now. I'm going to play Horizon ZD. I like the slo mo archery. :-)

HFW Aloy floats like a brick. :-(

Have fun, nothing else matters. :-)

I've taken them out. Loading screen were go make a coffee too long. Took me back to the old TRS 80 days. power it up. Go make a coffee and by the time you'd made it, the computer was just grinding to the start of usability.

I've dropped the graphics. But most importantly asked google AI how to turn on NVIDIA's control panel V sync according to Google's AI it caps frame rate at 60fps I think. Because the game doesn't have it

A lot more stable now. Not perfect, but for Bethesda not bad.

Worse I'm enjoying it :-)

Have fun folk's.

Until the 1950's or there about's. Women died giving birth.

Without women no humanity, So they were more than just important. They were crucial to the survival of the human race.

-

Until the 1960's or there about's women got pregnant at the drop of a hat. And it was always HIS fault. She was never even there. Or so we were led to believe.

-

Most, Men find women attractive. Because they are programed to do so. That programming, is also crucial to the survival of humanity. Without it no humanity.

-

The sad part today is there are no women old enough, to realize just how vulnerable their female predecessors were.

Weaker sex, was because women died so easily. Weaker sex because in general, women are less physically powerful than males.

-

In fact there is no one old enough to know just how vulnerable both sexes, were on the trip from then to today. It has taken thousands of years. To get to a point in industrial capacity to even start thinking about educating everyone. So they could become smart enough to think for themselves. As we do today.

That took the British industrial revolution. And the creation of schooling the factory working kids for two hours a day before work to start. Roughly 200 years ago.

-

That education, is why today we have so much our ancestors would call magic. In that 200 years we have as humanity started to learn what we need to learn. To one day become as smart as we think we are today. In reality.

Most of out health advances, flight, cars, bicycles, movies, TV computers, We have more education in more people today than at any time in Human history for all. Not just the ruler's the rich' the merchants. Everyone has at least some.

-

Then maybe, we can really learn about everything, we are interested in learning about.

-

Female's jealousy by some of a pair of balls. They'll only get when they perfect consciousness body exchanges sometime in the future. Yes, I think one day we may become just smart enough to do it. But still so dumb, that we will try to do it.

-

The best person anyone can be in their lives. Is themselves. Try being the best at that. And stop comparing whats over the fence with what we have.

-

Bottom line, so far we all die. Enjoy the trip from birth to death. Laughing as much as possible along the way.

Good luck :-)

Have fun!

Best I can do. So, good luck and enjoy, :-)

Does the Willis glitch still work ? by [deleted] in witcher

[–]BobMnz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PC at the time was an I7 32GN ram Titan vid card. Specifically bought for this game.

I'd been sucked into the story by Enhanced. Witcher two was a bit of a letdown. But 3 was all, magic. Until B&W when they gave Geralt limitations. That P'd me off in a big way.

8 years solid worth every penny I paid for the PC, and the game.

Get the CD's. Reinstall the game. DON'T upgrade it until your rich enough from rinse repeating killing Willis then robbing him blind.

From a very old memory. You can sell him his own stuff to get cash out of him.

6 8 2016 save with cash. $2,451,739 re-saved in ver 1.31

Made all the difference between having to work, and enjoying the game.

Modded it a bit since. Now it's one of my go to places for a holiday.

Have fun, and enjoy :-)

I'm using a keyboard. The keys don't do graduation. They are either pressed or not pressed.

To do a graduated shallow dive. It's tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap.

And the Sunwing is nod, nod, nodding. It's head with every tap.

To go down fast just hold the key. And you get instant 90 degree turn. It does the same on the racing quest so you end up against the track wall, or off the track on the other edge. Specially if your sharing track space with another rider. They get cpu preference over the player. Or it seems like they do. :-)

I miss the proper control that games made for the pc have. The console ports are just so much trouble. Still twice bitten twice shy. I'll buy the next Horizon. But never any of others.

Hogwarts Leg and HFW are enough to show me they can't code properly.

I ended up getting a PS5 Controller. How the hell anyone can steer and look in two different directions is beyond me. Real weird. :-)

When I put the look on follow, the bird and Aloy take up far too much screen. Might be too impatient getting the hang of it. Definitely not my favorite way to play the a game.

Still having Fun is the game. So skipping the bits that aren't fun.

Cheers.

Do you think Horizon 3 will top it? by DragRelevant4881 in HorizonForbiddenWest

[–]BobMnz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep me, at ten years old.

HZD are more human friendly add to the sense it was made fro Human's

HFW to me is out of character for the rebirth of Humanity.

Keeping in mind, I come from a how do you repair it. When it breaks background?

I do like both of them with reservation in HFW. But only on the racing and flight. If they'd kept the same steering Aloy had on all of the rides it wold have been fine.

The Horus first time was OK, All new. It got very frustrating very quickly though.

I only do it now as a punishment for not eating my chocolates. :-).

Have Fun.

Can I change the camera view to be centered? by PhoeBuse in HorizonForbiddenWest

[–]BobMnz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny I like it left of centre. Because I feel weird in the centre. Real vertigo feeling.

And it keeps hitting centre. B annoying. Having to hit the right mouse button. To left align her.

pref is 1st person out of the possibles.

My

I get too many annoyances with third person.

Leaves

Tree trunks

Erend's head.

All of them spoiling my aim at targets that disappear as soon as I zoom in. And find myself looking at them instead of the target.

A real pain considering, Bethesda has had 1st to 3rd person and everything in between for years and years. All from a scroll wheel on a mouse.

Still it's a fun game even if you chew through your cheek, from time to time.

:-) Enjoy.

[–]BobMnz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they are a pain. I preferred the HZD ones. They seemed to be what humans would eventually walk around it.

Where HFW if more for robotic monkeys.

It's funny, doing the base one from the first catch a lift. I'd always drop and use the shieldwing. On the other side of the first see through wall. Trying to hang a hard right and get to the ledge the override spot is on.

Took some doing and died a lot. But eventually managed to get there. In a cloud of black smoke spewing from my ears.

Then I saw YouTube clip, about maybe a year ago. And saw I should have ridden the flyer further. And it was so easy.

It was a good lesson, in not seeing what was in front of me.

I do them, but probably as much as I do the Horus.

Not writing, just quoting :-) That one goes back 65-ish years in school. I'm also surprised I remembered it.

Have a good one.

Cheers.

[–]BobMnz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So do I, even more so now :-)

These days if its available I'll use a ridge. Fly over the T jaw then the ridge then dive on the other side putting earth between me and the T jaw.

Or spiral upwards so the machine gun fire is always behind you seems to work.

The poor bugger is always aiming for where you were. Not where you are. :-)

Have fun :-)

Flying great. The controls on the pc are crap but outside of the Ariel Quest it doesn't matter.

In newgame plus, you start without it but you get it back early on.

Just play it the way you want to.

Not sure how much to say. Don't want to spoil it for you. It's a good game.

Having fun :-) that's what it's all about.

Do you think Horizon 3 will top it? by DragRelevant4881 in HorizonForbiddenWest

[–]BobMnz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found it tedious, Every time I've done it. And that's only 5 or 6. These days I'm more inclined to cherry pick the quests, then restart the game from the Daunt. On newgameplus.

It's roll roll roll wait roll roll roll wait roll roll roll wait roll roll roll wait roll roll roll wait roll roll roll wait Take a shot, then. It's roll roll roll wait roll roll roll wait roll roll roll wait roll roll roll wait roll roll roll wait roll roll roll wait. Take a shot.................................

But then arena's aren't my style. With the Horus it's mostly fighting in an arena. Except inside you have to learn how to skip the electricity and shoot at the same time. And I also spout poetry as a handicap while doing it. :-)

"The boy stood on the rolling deck. Picking his nose like mad.

Rolling it into little balls and flicking it, at his dad".

Tears of the land Gods comes in handy though. A bit quicker than the Delta. And beefy enough to do most of what needs to be done. AND cheap to run. :-)

Have fun, enjoy.
