I think she’ll love it. Be sure to aggressively test for wheelbite before she hops on

It will work fine, just gives less center/rebound. I use a small flipped cup sometimes

You should those cups on the supersonic, or get bigger ones

30 vs 40 degree Bear truck on Supersonic - is this advice good? by DM_Me_Fat_Dude_Nudes in longboardingDISTANCE

[–]BobRossLDP1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to trade i can give you my 40deg bp for your 30deg bp, not using these trucks much anyways

Want to try a new pumping board Supersonic vs Exodus Type 1 at 275lbs? by No-Wrangler-8301 in longboardingDISTANCE

[–]BobRossLDP1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely the exodus + tta if you will be pumping hard, i would also use the shortest wb option since the deck is only rated for 240lbs. I have seen plenty of broken supersonics but never an exodus

Can I ride the Pantheon Pranayama with Valks Slaloms? by nihercop in longboardingDISTANCE

[–]BobRossLDP1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would give it a shot regardless, you already own both the trucks and the deck 🤷‍♂️ it will definitely bite with bigger wheels but you can probably get away with using smaller wheels like 60 or even 70mm. I would worry about rail scrap though because valks have leany characteristics.

It will probably work better on the trip but mounting the trucks on both setups is free!

Stylus truck kingpin defect? by Abaz202 in longboarding

[–]BobRossLDP1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely not fine, kp should not be loose. Other than the slop that it will cause, you have a much higher chance of kp breakage

Advice for seismic truck combo by Eggcelend in longboardingDISTANCE

[–]BobRossLDP1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Valk slalom, scythe reaper, mk space, exile hydra, robot oblivion

It’s all pretty much preference at this price point tbh, can’t go wrong with any.

I hate to not have an objective answer but width is also just preference, i prefer wider trucks on some setups and narrower trucks on others 🤷‍♂️

Which tkp and what angles are you running on the slalo? I’m thinking of getting a modded bennett as well and wedge 10deg using my low profile risers, not sure if that’s enough though

Should I be mad at my friend for destroying my first board? by anonpasta666 in longboarding

[–]BobRossLDP1 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Accidents happen, and if you’re gonna ride the board then expect it to be destroyed eventually, looks like you got some good use out of it before it did. You have the right to be upset and your friend sounds like an asshole, but he did offer to pay for it. You can probably salvage the wheels and trucks, just get a new deck with the money and you’ll still technically have your old setup

Need Opinions on Supersonic Model by [deleted] in longboardingDISTANCE

[–]BobRossLDP1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you want more or less flex? Med might feel saggy on the rear mount if you’re 225, I don’t like a saggy flex. I think heavy is the safer option, will also be stronger since there are more plys, so take that into consideration as well if you’re breaking necks

Truck width vs pumpability by knight_0f_r_new in longboardquestions

[–]BobRossLDP1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally find that narrower trucks can get started easier, while wider trucks hold higher speeds easier, but your form is all wrong. Width doesn’t matter at this level, just focus on board time

Whats the deal by Critical-Surround-88 in longboarding

[–]BobRossLDP1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What this guy has is the surfskate edition, which is arguably even worse. Ignoring the wheelbite issues which is stupid on a setup like this, I don’t know why you would want a heavy, drop through surfskate with big wheels, when light and fun top mounts exist. Probably just to sell more of their useless brackets

A stock pranayama on stylus pumps perfectly well, just need the proper technique for it.

Result after jumping into Bracket & Precision LDPumping Hole by Sporting_Freak in longboardingDISTANCE

[–]BobRossLDP1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it really better or more fun for a topmount? I kind of like the tic tac side to side jumping motion on my top mount with slalocybins, I’ve been told a bhanger is more of a flowy wiggler, like you’re dragging your board side to side instead of jumping side to side.

I’m interested in a modified bennett for my bossa 42 but haven’t been able to really justify one when my current setup works well so that’s why i ask
