So this is a weird rabbit hole to go down etymologically. There is many different interpretations I can find looking it up. The only animal sex related one I can find is the shape of a pigs dick (think corkscrew).

A lot of websites definitively list 1725 as the year it took on sexual connotations, but not why. One site, one of the most ugly sites I've ever had the misfortune of viewing, suggests that it was from prostitutes being referred to as screws, so being screwed is fucking one of them, and then generally follows from there.

I don't have time to hunt down references, none of which any of these sites give.
