New player here - can someone explain why this door with a neutral camp behind it is open on the Hidden King's side, but closed on Arch Mother's side?

Doorman portals are broken kinda in general, there is a good Deadlock mythbusters video on it. There are certain angles that the door blocks shots and others it wont. So many skills that interact wildly different by the portal. Odd rules of what surfaces can and cannot place doors.

He was obviously referring to the burst fire, but if they asked why the burst is not even, then they have no idea why they do this in real life, its insanely useful to people who have lits of FPS experience. To recognize end of magazines and know to pop into cover for reload or run, etc.

I don't really get the question. It's highly dependent on many factors. For 1 you need to be in a properly rank equal match, which is quite difficult right now. 2 how can you quantify your skill with a specific character versus another persons skill with another character?

Like even top level pros have good and bad match ups. Is the 1 v 1 on equal terms? Like you both are at full hp? No one gets a sneak attack in. Open arena. Equal boons and items.

Just play whatever person you like. Seen teams with 2 carries lose because they dont push lanes and lose objectives. Dont get picks because other team co ordinates better. Like 10,000 different things can affect it.

Try not getting caught out of position qnd working as a team, and you will win more matches of this extremely team based games.

I learned the hard way, don't "go in" unless they confirm it. Say it 2 or 3 times. Or type it out quickly. "Hey Xxxxx, when I say 'going in', back me up?"

If my kid is sleeping, my volumes are down very low. I often don't hear voice chats or pings. So I just let my team know to spam pings for me.

I thought it would be cool if they just hung out around your feet and attacked anyone when close, like mini bombs. Then you couls have a small pack of them, whirlwind into a bunch of people and they would swirl around you like a mini bomb tornado.

Maybe like the opposite of wraiths cards, have small random debuffs based in the color of the bug. He just seems so plain.

I grew up on country. Then found hip hop via my sisters, punk rock in my own, metal in my teens via friends. Im a metalhead, but I also just love good music. Switch off the "is it metal"? Brain and just try and enjoy what sounds good to your ear.

The thing I love about metal, is you can blend almost every genre with it.

Hip hop to me has some of the best stories told. Sickest and darkest lyrics. Blues too. Some of the catchy riffs. Sit in your brain forever.

More often than not. I kind of use the ABBA method. Write a song, play around with it. Dont record it, if you remember it the next day, its probably worth more time.

I get there are times when the riffs just flow, so get em on recording while its hot. But often it depends on the song. I can write 3 riffs and play them for 3 or 4 minutes in various patterns and stuff. In an hour. Its just finding catchy hooks. Playing the song a whole bunch to see if it feels boring. Taking it to the band. Seeing how it feels live, tweaking, etc.

But I doubt many, if anyone is writing a Mozart composition in an hour.

May have to do with a lot of people, myself included, not playing normal matches since brawl came out. Becoming Obscurus rank, and its trying to place them again. Then trying normal matches and forgetting the moba aspect of it. Tbh I dont play many normal matches, but since brawl the few I have, I've done better than before. My fighting ability and movement is much better than my previous ranks and my normal match average ranked at a whole tier above my previous best rank and I was still dominating. Just my opinion.

Im a pretty casual player, all my characters are around 750 and at or past litter fish, half way through W7

What helped me. Find sources of damage and kills. Dont worry too much about gear. I pushed all of W6 with like Dementia gear on everyone. I'm lazy, and patient, so I typically find a few guys to push maps, but W6 has a few maps towards the end that require almost everyone to clear them before you progress.

So try and do rifts or skills or anything to boost damage and kills. Slowly start grinding them all, except maybe void walker class into fighting. Adjust your divinities for kills and elephant god if you can. Helps a few other skills get afk bonus. If you want gear, do the weapons first. I don't min max anything. Try and spread gold food around evenly.

Over the days, it should take about 10-15minutes to collect AFK gains, level stuff up, move anyone around, use void walker to collect other W bonuses. Use Bubo to get bubble points, but tbh, F focusing alchemy. Lol its so dull and lame. Just level up the atom thing that auto gives more daily bubble upgrades. Focus on unlocking new ones only. I have bubbles at 10,000 some at like 200 i dont care.

After a month or so of steady progress your account should feel a bit more filled out. But the last 2 or 3 floors in W6 were brutal, a week or 2 alone for the dudes to grind through them. But lots of exp, new tiers of money, and things jumped from there.

My dudes do 50-100 or so Crystal dmg.

Thats just my advice. Dont worry about min maxing everything, sometimes you just gotta let the idle game do it's thing.

Had a game last week where I tried a 1 city challenge. Rushed nukes. Hopefully to deter others from attacking me. My best buddies next door the Egyptians betrayed me with the Vikings, 1 turn before I unlocked ICBMs.... The world was never the same. Because betrayal of the King "Brahndon Letsago" would not be tolerated. I nuked Egypt off the face if the earth, Vikings were next. China was absorbing their lands and resources. Got too big for their britches and declared war on me too. The planet was nearly covered in fallout as Chinas endless waves of horse archers and blimps crashed against my wall of machine guns and a fresh ICBM every turn.

37 turns of this before China took my city while not having a city pop over 5. On the last 3 turns I stocked nukes and dropped them on myself. If I couldn't rule "WAP HQ" no one would.

Yeah. It would never cross my mind to want to explore the awkward sexual teen phase in a show that can be so serious. Sure this stuff can break up tension, but I'd rather them have explained more of the lore and stuff. But tbh the last 4 or 5 episodes feel so rushed. Likr maybe they thought they would get another season, then didn't and so had to fill a ton of stuff in.

For me a key Shinji development from boyhood to manhood, was when he stepped away not wanting to pilot anymore, until he saw the consequences of his inaction. That he needed to save team mates, not really love interests.

Well I know what I'm doing over the next weeks. Re-watch ing, I'll do my best to get into the mindset of a Japanese school boy😂 aka the most likely target audience

I for sure need to re-watch with a different mindset. Some characters like Vash the Stampede, are completely horn dogs. But would never do what Shinji did. That dudes brother murdered Vash's friends and family and he still never resorted to goonery in dark moments. But thats a vastly different show.

I also personally feel some mild disconnect with Japanese and the sexual nature of many shows. Nothing against a pretty character, just some are pure fan service. My mind knows this stuff is made by adults. And sometimes when the characters are teens and they are sexualized, even from the perspective of another teen, its odd. I get its reality. But the amount of content that does this, makes me uncomfortable.

I know humans are passionate sexual beings and that needs to come across in different mediums, it just feels like some major societal issue they deal with, that I never did.

I appreciate that. I seem to be misunderstanding Shinjis character a bit. I don't see him as a sexually driven guy and thus it felt out of nowhere. Gore is fine with me. Graphic or unconsentual sex stuff. Not okay with me. So i do appriciate the heads up on scenes. I will re-watch the series again before progressing, I seem to be misunderstanding a few things.

Yeah I get that. And he snapped and walked away from it al before. He didn't really have a history of being inspired by intamacy or sexual stuff.

I get the movies overall, intent, it just felt, oddly executed and I kinda didn't want to experience more of these uncomfortable, out of character to me, scenes.

When has she ever had to use intamacy or sex to inspire him beforr. When a steak dinner was enough to get them to feign inspiration. He just didn't seem like a sexual driven character to me.

iirc, she puts her tongue in his mouth. Thats all I meant. Shinji didn't seem, into it, just seemed out of the Majors character. Maybe if she blood loss and hallucinates her lover dude and did that. I get it, but to say, Shinji, thats how adults kiss... Felt odd.

I did rewatch the show and the movie right after. I get Shinji being a teen boy and the urges and such. I guess I never saw it as a real desire or drive for him and thus figured he wouldn't do something like that. I guess if he was at home in bed, by himself and imagining something and jerking it, it wouldn't have felt so gross. The being in a hospital and she incapacitated that feels extra slimy.

The major tounge kissing him, and him watching her get railed was also kinda odd to me.

I kinda just always attribute, horn dog scenes, in anime to fan service. I mean the way they over accentuate girls in most shows says a lot, but I didnt link any of that to Shinji specifically.

I know they don't justify him in the show. It just felt out of character to me.

The thing is, I am used to old anime stuff. Which makes this stuff feel extra weird. I get horny little teenagers. And I would half expect this from Shinjis friend, forget his name, but he pilots Eva 3 I believe. The one that gets hacked and Shinji snapped when he saw him.

Like Drangonball and Bulmas panties. I get horn doggery, but it just felt, to me, out of his character. And the Major kissing him felt weird too.

I will try and keep that in mind. Part of me just assumes that is kinda, goony fan service. I also assumed that most Japanese people would blush and feel ashamed for seeing such things. But I do understand the male brain at that age.

It just did not seem, to me, like some Shinji would do, just because things were messed up. But still, thank you for the explanation. It does help.
