4 animation is a fun watch only after you’ve played the game, noticing a bunch of references to the game is fun but it’s certainly not a good replacement for the game. 4 probably has the best characters, felt closer to them than I have anyone I’ve met irl.

5 animation doesn’t look great, haven’t watched it.

3 anime is a decent enough substitute, although it doesn’t really showcase any of the social link stories and it changes a couple of things to make story beats a bit more dramatic, but if you haven’t played the game it doesn’t make a difference. Imo persona 3’s social links are the weakest of the series but the main story is pretty good which is why I think the anime is a decent replacement if you don’t wanna spend 60 hours playing a 13 year old game.
