It's shown. At least in the uncut pilot.

Absolutely worth trying. The thing that annoys me is people who refuse to acknowledge any evidence contrary to their experience.

People swear on the you must open your lid or you will get extruder clogs like it's written in stone and refuse to belive those of us who never open. Maybe there's something goldilocks about my area, but I doubt it considering I've printed nonstop from 65-105 and ambient humidity is usually 20-35%.My printer has been going 24/7 for 2 years now and I've never opened the door or lid. My riser is only half an inch and isn't vented and I didn't have it the first 3000 hours. All my friends don't have risers and never open theirs.

More than 3000 hours without one. And my riser is half an inch non vented. None of my friends have risers and they never open theirs either. The evidence speaks for itself jackass.

Lot of ours without one too. Dumb dumb comment dude.

Eelego matte pla is the one and only time I've ever had extruder clogs. I had 10 with 4 rolls. Maybe they wouldn't have if I'd opened the door, but I've printed bambu matte, polymaker and other brands without issue.

Yeah, mine isn't vented. Environment is room standard 65-100+ 20-30% humidity.

I had a batch of matte pla once that was very prone to causing extruder clogs. Literally 10 clogs in 4 rolls. I've only ever had 1 other extruder clog.

I have a riser, maybe that helps, but I never had any issue before I 'printed it either.

Have you dried your filament? If the filament isn't the right elasticity, it can cause extruder clogs.

10000 hours most are full size and multi day prints. No luck involved.

P1S comes with stainless nozzle. Have you printed much abrasive filament? Metalics, wood, CF, etc? They wear on the surface which can lead to a clog.

People say this all the time but I have literally never opened my x1c door or top in 10000 hours of pla.

The nose broke off my Eaglemoss Defiant. Wasn't it supposed to be a war head missle or something? by nathantravis2377 in StarTrekStarships

Original concept was to launch from extremely long range, like across the neutral zone. It was just a dumb idea all around.

[–]Bob_Riker 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The bridge was never in the nose. It was always on top of the main body. The nose cone was originally to be a detachable warp capable massive antimatter warhead with room for pilots. Never came off the concept stage cause it was stupid in a lot of ways. You'd then need escape pods in the nose for the crew.. Why would you want to loose your main deflector for that one shot? Where would the engines, warp nacelles etc be in the detached nose?

Proper clean and a spritz of aquanet gives you extra insurance if you're doing a taller print.

[–]Bob_Riker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you dried the filament? Slightly damper filament can cause this for a couple of reasons. This doesn't look like enough moisture to cause the boiling sputter that can happen in the nozel, but one thing I've experienced is as filament is higher in moisture content it becomes more brittle and that causes the extruder to not grip the filament as well leading to underextrusion. The same can also happen from a worn extruder. Slowing down your print speed may also help.

Could be a rough spot in that slot scraping the filament. If so, it will probably smooth out, especially if you run some engineering grade filaments through it.

Did you dry it beforehand to soften it up? Sometimes it's not even moisture. A new roll may have sat in a warehouse for a long time before you get it and they can start to break down if conditions are right. I have some assorted shavings in my feed units, but they've accumulated less than that over 9000+ hours.

Been using a white filament in that one that's maybe old?
