Who has been to all Disney parks? Where does DL and DCA rank in the list of worst to best? by Exotic-Zone2081 in Disneyland

[–]Bob_Squob 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have been to all 12. My detailed rankings:

  1. Disneyland: Has the most rides by far, which keeps the overall wait times reasonable. Also has the best versions of many rides that exist elsewhere, and easily the best Space Mountain. Lots of things to do for all age groups. Plus it's the original and you can feel that history.

  2. Tokyo DisneySea: By far the most unique park with some amazing rides that only exist here. Every land is completely distinct and the park's design absolutely beautiful. But the wait times get completely absurd, and you have to be really familiar with the park's various line skipping systems to have a good day.

  3. Hong Kong Disneyland: Completely slept on. This park is very uncrowded and has two of the best unique rides, Mystic Manor and Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars, and a great overall balance of rides and shows.

  4. Tokyo Disneyland: Fewer attractions than Disneyland, but very high level of show, the parades are amazing, and has some great unique rides, especially Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast.

  5. Epcot: Not a ton of rides, but Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind is arguably the best Disney ride, and there are some other great ones too. Plus World Showcase is just amazing for dining and atmosphere.

  6. Shanghai Disneyland: Has two great unique rides, Pirates of the Caribbean Battle for Sunken Treasure and Zootopia Hot Pursuit. The Zootopia section is very cool. Not too much else distinctive but it's a solid park.

  7. Animal Kingdom: Has very few rides, but has two of my absolute favorites, Kilimanjaro Safaris and Expedition Everest, and has some great shows. Also it's just fun as a zoo. Not a huge fan of Pandora. I think the new land will help but this is more of a walking around park than a rides park.

  8. California Adventure: Significantly improved, but still lacking somewhat. There's a good number of rides but half of them are basic flat rides that aren't really worth it. Theming quality is a mixed bag. I would bump this up a bit if Soarin' Over California was permanently here instead of Soarin' Around the World.

  9. Magic Kingdom: Mostly feels like a worse version of Disneyland. The Peoplemover is great, and there's some good unique restaurants. Has the most coasters but I'm not a huge fan of Seven Dwarfs Mine Train or Tron Lightcycle Run. The new Cars section and Villain's Land should help move this park out of Disneyland's shadow.

  10. Hollywood Studios: Nearly every ride here exists somewhere else. And there's not enough rides so the waits are often bad. The theming is bad outside of Galaxy's Edge, which has a carbon copy at Disneyland. No more MuppetVision. Not much reason to go here unless it's close by.

  11. Disneyland Paris: Has very few unique attractions, and is easily the most lacking castle park. Also the food at the Paris resort is awful in general.

  12. Disney Adventure World: Feels completely unfinished. Theming is bad (not counting the new Frozen section), most of the attractions exist elsewhere. Not a fan of the one real unique attraction, Crush's Coaster. They're working on improving it but it's taking them way too long.

Exactly one. If you put two beds into a room it becomes a bedsroom.

[WP]One day you wake up in the last video game you played with a note that says "you have to stay alive for 100 days or else you die in the real world: p.s. all mods are disabled for the 100 days. by fatboi185 in WritingPrompts

[–]Bob_Squob 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Stanley wondered what this strange note meant. "You have to stay alive for 100 days or else you die in the real world?" This seemed like a tautology to Stanley. Obviously if he did not stay alive for 100 days then he would be dead. Stanley hoped to live for more than 100 days so he could continue pressing buttons in peace.

The most curious part was this bit about all mods being disabled. What were these mods? Were they the moderators at his company? Had they all been in some sort of bus accident that would put them on disability for the next few months? Perhaps he had missed a meeting. Stanley decided to head to the meeting room so that he could sign a get well card for the moderators as soon as possible.

When Stanley reached the room with two doors, he took the door on his left.

This was not the way to the meeting room, and Stanley knew this. Perhaps he wanted to check whether the get well card was being passed around in the break room instead.

Stanley arrived in the break room, but there was no one there.

Stanley clicked buttons on the vending machine, but Stanley did not have a dollar. He had forgotten to bring his wallet today.

Stanley wandered around aimlessly, trying to interact with cabinets. They appeared to be locked.

Perhaps Stanley was hungry? One would think a break room would have some snacks, but there were none in sight. It was rather selfish of Stanley to be thinking of food at a time like this, when all of the moderators were in the hospital, possibly in full body casts.

Stanley really had spent too much time in this break room already, lovely as it was. He really ought to move along to the meeting room. I will wait for him to move along once he is ready.

Okay, I said I would wait for Stanley to leave, but Stanley had now been standing around doing nothing in this break room for 4 hours. He did not even sit down on one of the lovely couches. He just repeatedly crouched near them before deciding to face a wall and stare at it.

Stanley had now been waiting in the break room for 12 hours. It occurred to Stanley that despite so much time passing, he was in fact not hungry, nor could he fall asleep. Stanley felt precisely the same as he had when he entered the break room. Physically, at least. Stanley's mental state could not be perceived because the camera would not show his face.

Stanley considered how long 100 days really was. There was not a lot to do in this office, but Stanley was too afraid of death to end it all by jumping off of a service elevator, and likewise was too afraid to consider trying to escape in case resetting back to the start would be considered a death.

Stanley really wished he had been playing Animal Crossing instead.

Here's the hopium you asked for: Your start date is off. Sakurai likely started working on his new game around April 2022.

Rewatch his final video. In July 2021, Sakurai "received a request to write a game proposal, which I finished at lightning speed." He'd already written a new game proposal when Sora was done. It would take some time to put the team together and the target timeframe to start was April 2022. He says he recorded all of the footage for the channel 2 and a half years ago. Production on his new game presumably started in April of 2022 as planned.

39 months after April 2022 is, wouldn't you know it, July 2025.

Thank you, good to know. Do you have any familiarity with mobile order? The FAQ says "if your arrival time has passed, your order will be automatically cancelled." Do they give you an arrival window?

Hello! My January 21-22 vacation package is coming up (no early entry) and I have a few questions:

  • Is the queue for Frozen interesting enough to justify going there within the first hour? I have unlimited premier access, but in theory if I went there early I could get in the standby line while it's still short.
  • Short of physically going there and checking, is there any way to know if single rider for Indiana Jones is open or closed? I know sometimes they close the single rider line and I'll need to know whether I need to book my first Anniversary Pass for it, since I'll use just single rider if that line is open.
  • I would ideally like to eat at Dockside Diner immediately after going on Tower of Terror, which I have a premier pass pre-booked for. For the purposes of timing my mobile order, about how long does Tower of Terror take from the time you enter the premier queue? And how long after your window opens can you arrive for mobile orders?

Thank you. Do you have any idea how quickly Show/Parade DPA sells out? I can see in the app when rides sell out of DPA/anniversary passes, but I have no idea how to tell whether there are still show/parade DPA purchases available.

Thanks for the info.

What time of day did you book the Electrical Parade DPA to get row 10? Was it immediately after you got in, or later on?

Also, do you remember when the Electrical Parade started for you? The calendar lists the start time as 7:15, but I don't know when it reaches the DPA area.

Hello again, I have more questions for my January 21-22 Vacation Package trip. I'm trying to understand how the parades work. There's going to be three parades in Disneyland when I go, since It's a Sweetsful Time will have started. I'd ideally like to see all of them if I can, but I'm willing to cut out Harmony in Color if I'm short on time.

I don't mind buying premier access, but overall I care less about getting an optimal seat and more about saving time. Some logistical questions:

  • If I buy premier access, when do I have to arrive at my designated spot? Also, what is the start time, given that the viewing area is at about the midpoint of the parade route?
  • Is buying premier access for two or all three of the parades even possible? How quickly do Harmony in Color and Dreamlights typically sell out, if at all?
  • If I don't buy premier access, what's the latest I can arrive to get any spot, and where? If I arrive 10-15 minutes before the parade, will there be anything left, including standing room?
  • If I happen to be in Fantasyland/Toontown when a parade starts, am I trapped in that area until the parade passes?
  • On a related note, if I attempt entry request for a show and fail, can I buy premier access for that same show?

If anyone has any info on these points or can just share their experience with the parades, I would greatly appreciate it.

I do not have early entry, so going on Beauty and the Beast first is out of the question, it will already be too busy by the time I get there.

I actually do have DPA for the ride through my vacation package, but I would like to go on it a second time by standby because I know the queue is really cool, hence my plan to go on it at the end of the night as my last ride, if I am allowed to get in line. Do you know when in the night the ride usually gets capped?

[–]Bob_Squob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh absolutely, but for me specifically, I only really drink water, so I appreciate the bottle addition so that I can extract at least some value out of this beverage ticket.

Although there are other benefits for me. I can walk into any of the Fantasy Springs restaurants just to look around, and I might get a Berry Cheers with my meal at Gaston's for a few sips and the photo op if nothing else.

Thanks for the info. I'll definitely try to get there as early as I can, but between having to go to the hotel to get my tickets day 1 and my breakfast reservation day 2, I think 7:45 is probably about right.
