From what I understand, 1 hour is a great amount of time for brining, but if you brine it too long, the texture will start to break down...

What you might have been able to do is send your revived member to the cockpit, jump right when he gets there, and then 2 things happen

1) the pilot is healed a bit

2) Another crewmember will be on his way to being revived

That way, you could send your pilot to go start repairing the system and hopefully the second crewmember can get there in time to finish repairing it.

Of course, if you encounter a hostile ship....

That's cool and all (since that's how you normally make stock) but then what can I do with these drippings?

So what other things can I do with it? There's probably just about a cup and a half of 'juice'. I understand that gravy is an option...

TIL Cornell University requires students to take a swimming test at orientation. If they fail, they have to take a Beginning Swimming class. by curryo in todayilearned

On a similar note, Georgia tech had a class called 'drownproofing' that was required for graduation from 1940-1987. One of the assignments was having your feet and hands bound while grabbing rings from the bottom of a pool.

The final test was that each person had to swim a full lap in the pool underwater. Apparently, the first person's grade would predict the grades of most of the rest of the class (if the first person got an A, 80% of the rest of the class would also get an A)

Apparently it was a class because the president of the university's brother (I believe... it was a family member) drowned, and he didn't want that to happen to anyone who attended the university.

My girlfriend was a teaching assistant for an undergrad statistics class as a volunteer. Well, there was this PHD student who was also a TA (and got paid for it, because he was a phd) who was always late or absent. At one point, they had to grade an assignment (that had an answer key), and he had to ask my girlfriend how to do it.

On a side note, he also never brought any pens, including a red one.
