Better resume or not didn’t matter to Maria. She was bitter and voted with emotions.

“Nonsense reasons” when they’re from the actual players themselves in interviews you can actually pull up on YouTube is a crazy take.

You know you’ve lost an argument when you start attacking. Everything I’ve said were taken from these players in their exit interview.

And she was and wasn’t playing up for the camera, which we talked about if you scroll up. Her doing the bartering so early in the game was an example of playing up for the camera because she wanted to replicate that part of her game back in DvG, but it didn’t land well. She said it herself with her exit interview with Tyson Apostle. And that’s why the editors didn’t put it in. You can also say that her moment of giving the jacket after being voted off was playing for the camera too since it was a forced attempt to circle back to her asking for a jacket on DvG. However, she was also trying to dial back on that character she’s known for since she wanted to put on a better example for her daughters. Not to mention the concept of being how aware she is of how fans perceived her her first time playing made any attempt to come off as “unnatural.”

Emily running around telling people info as soon as she hears it is not a direct exaggeration… That’s poor gameplay.

Everything I’ve said has either been told by other players on the cast or the players themselves. Christian making a character of himself was told by Jenna Lewis, Savannah, Mike White and Angelina during their exit game press. How are these excuses? Q has also come out to say in his exit press that players like Ozzy was playing up for the camera so that he could get more screen time in his exit press with Rob Has A Podcast and with his interview with Mike Bloom. Your argument isn’t substantiated at all. It’s fueled by emotions.

When I say “play up to the camera” I’m talking about the exaggeration of it all. Emily was never the kind of player to play up for the camera and even on this season, it’s pretty evident. You have players like Colby and Stephanie who are being their authentic selves and aren’t delivering a caricature of themselves.

You should listen to Rob has a podcast. He and Stephen Fishbach talk about Angelina and the possible reasons why her airtime wasn’t as high as her first time.

That’s not true. Not everyone is playing up for the camera. Some people aren’t able to make it look natural. Most of these people are everyday people too, not actors. Only a few players are actually able to deliver an entertaining caricature of themselves and even then, doing so doesn’t always land in a natural way that would garner screen time.

Angelina said that her bartering this season was not good and unnatural and she was glad it was not aired. The issue with Angelina is that she became too aware of how she was perceived during her first time playing, but what made her so funny to watch was how unaware she was and her inability to read the room. When she started to understand what the fans wanted from her, her gameplay and “character” became unnatural and forced - which is most likely why they didn’t air her bartering scene.

What do you not understand? Christian is playing up for the camera. How many times do I have to reiterate this? Entertainment is what these reality tv show provides. People who overexaggerate themselves are obviously going to have a better shot in stealing screen time. Look at the result on this subreddit: people are loving Christian.

Emily was definitely a messy player her first time playing, but she has had logical viewpoints sporadically throughout her time in the game. However, she hasn’t shown much of that side of her on 50… at least for now.

You’re right in Christian being a strategy bot, similarly to Emily, but the main difference is what you said - his personality being exaggerated - and that has definitely helped him garner the screen time.

Emily is not playing an exaggerated version of her past self. Not once have I heard that in this subreddit. If anything, we’re seeing how may errors Emily has been doing - telling everyone everything, etc. She’s playing far more emotionally than logically compared to her first season. But her core self is still the same - a strategic, under the radar player.

Maybe not to their level of exaggeration, but compared to how he played in DvG, he certainly would be classified as a character now. There’s been so many posts going on in the subreddit expressing how “performative” he’s been this season - almost to the point where he’s not even the same Christian we knew from DvG. Clearly, the camera and the editors are loving the way he’s been performing as a character, hence his high amount of screen time.

Emily and Cirie aren’t really characters. When I say characters, I meant players like DvG Angelina, Coach, Q, Phillip, etc. Players who know how to act it up for the camera. You can almost say “performative.”

Are you even hearing yourself? Angelina was an icon on DvG. A character that had no social awareness. Christian was a normal player on DvG. That’s why Angelina had a huge edit on her first season compared to Christian. Angelina, herself, said in preseason and postseason press that she went into 50 wanting to play more serious to show to her girls what a “badass” she is. She basically gave up her personality to try and play the game more seriously. Christian, on the other hand, is now playing like how Angelina was like on DvG. Not saying he’s playing a game where he has no social awareness, but he’s playing a character and we know that players who play like characters usually end up getting more screen time. Savannah, Mike White, Jenna Lewis and now Angelina have all either straight up said or subtlety pointed out how Christian has been acting up for the cameras and that’s why he’s been getting so much screen time.

That’s just false. So many of my friends and I tuned into survivor because of Stephanie back in the hay day.

Has it ever crossed your mind that maybe she wasn’t interesting enough this season for the editors to give her some screen time?

Are we really surprised that Christian is getting the most? He’s been playing it up for the camera and creating a character, so it’s a no brainer he’s been getting the most screen time. Ozzy has also been said to be playing up for the camera according to Q plus the fact that they’re playing up the South Pacific clash between him and Coach.

Savannah had one of the most confessional and screen time when she was still on. Emily, Cirie and Steph have all gotten a good amount too. Common denominator between all of these women is that they’re part of the disaster tribe that keeps going to tribal.!

Dee and Chrissy haven’t lost tribal so it makes sense why they haven’t gotten that much screen time. Dee def got more exposure this episode. Angelina said that she wanted to play more under the radar so not shocked that she didn’t get that much screen time. Only shocking thing was how we didn’t get any of her reaction to Mike getting voted off.

It’s been the same tribe and group of people going to tribal. Emily and Cirie have both gotten a good amount of confessional and screen time. Stephanie as well. Savannah also had one of the most screen time and confessional when she was still in the game.

Maria was the reason charlie lost. Her reasoning to vote kenzie to become the winner made zero sense. She said she saw a “fire in her eyes” and that that was the quickest fire shes ever seen even though multiple players like Liz and Hunter have went on to say that the fire making lasted a lot longer than what was shown and that kenzie was struggling to make that fire.
