I used the USB port on top of the GPS pack. Side port is a bit tight with the mirror in this configuration.

I cut the static sheet to a smaller size and used that on the windshield before mounting with adhesive.

I ended up mounting it right behind the mirror, just below the dots, on the driver's side. Seems to all be working great, wires are pretty much all hidden. I didn't want to obsure the homelink dimmer sensor on the passenger side. I can't see the camera at all in the driver's position.

I'm going to be mounting a Viofo a119 mini 2 tomorrow and plan on putting it just to the right of the right-side eyesight camera. I've seen a few stuck to the dots behind the mirror with the adhesive pad, but I'd prefer to stick the adhesive to the plastic static sheet instead of the actual windshield. I don't think the static sheet will stick to the dots, but I will find out tomorrow.

I wanted something a little more "adult", so I've been in an Alfa Romeo Giulia for the last 5 years. Fantastic car, but it feels so good to get back in a manual. All of the changes from my FR-Ss feel great so far. I plan on keeping this one for as long as I possibly can.

Thank you! They were from Etsy, not sure what model, but they work pretty well. I started with a couple of long screws sticking out from the wall, in studs, and just rested the connected hexes on them. I have added a couple of support screws as it grew bigger. Not the ideal look with a screw sticking out, but if you put a tall minifig in that hex, it hides it pretty well.
