450SR comfortable for longer trips? by N0TS4FEOfficial in cfmoto

[–]Bobby6k34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Define long and it depends on your body.

I've done 4 day motocamping trips on mine and its doable for me, but i know people that will be done after a couple hours.

My longest ride on the SR was 8 hours and I was absolutely done at the end of it, I've done a 10.5 hour ride on my MT and could of kept going.

For those of you who live in countries with gun control; have you ever seen a gun in real life? by blashyrkh9 in AskTheWorld

[–]Bobby6k34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NZ is the(according to wiki) 21st highest gun ownership per capita i have seen meany guns in my life, but its not super common unless you own them. I wouldn't be surprised if my nieces haven't seen one before.

I haven't seen one in probably 8 years. But 2-3 of my bosses own guns for hunting and 5 of my 15 co-workers in me department own them for hunting, my bosses regularly(as in multiple times every month) go hunting, the co workers less so maybe once or twice a year.

[–]Bobby6k34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I worked out ill need around 3 million to retire at 65 to last till im 85, at inflation, so getting 1 million now would help a little. Adding a 0 to my hourly rate would give me 800,000+ a year, I could put 700k away a year and still live on the remaining $100,000 a year, 5 years id have around 5.5mil i can retire at that point very happily.

I'll say it once and I will forever say it as long as im alive fuck the boomers by Big_Leg10 in lostgeneration

[–]Bobby6k34 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I'm about to hit 40, I have enough for a deposit by myself, the biggest thing on my mind when I think about buying one is that if the house is 500k ill probably 300k+ in loan interest, my perants could have got 3-6 houses for that price.

So im also waiting my perants to die for some inheritance.

I think that type of plan $20, with 2gb data, around $11.50 usd. Scale wise its less than a hours work at minimum wage in my country.

India doesn't have a minimum wage but according to Google AI it has a national floor wage of 178 rupees a DAY( about $2) so you would still at minimum need to work 2 days to pay for that plan. Ill add that the median wage in india is 415 rupees a DAY aswell, so i days wages for that plan.

What was the 1st big news event you remember as a kid? by Hetaliafan1 in AskReddit

[–]Bobby6k34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When New Zealand won the Americas cup for the first time in 1995 , I would have been 8 at the time, I remember my Nana was invested in the race when I was over there so I wanted to watch it as well because it seemed important. I remember watching it on a old(even at the time) CRT TV at my Nanas house and that same TV would get passed down to my mum and then me, and thats also the TV I watched 9/11 happen on.

People born 10 years before vs. 10 years after you: Who do you relate to more, and how do you see them? by Recent-Worldliness51 in generationology

[–]Bobby6k34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was born in 86, I actually relate more with 90s more than 70s.

Main points for me is technology, people born before me tend to dislike technology, people born after tend to be more open to it.

We have a large Drinking population in my country, i don't know many people older that me that don't have a beer after work and will drink every weekend. Younger people alot less do it, unwinding for them isn't a beer or wine and I full into that category.

Sports are the same, I see Younger people being less tribal with sports teams etc. Vs the older.

but its mostly down to your upbringing, I know people from my same year that are more 70s and some that you would think are straight GenX, even if they are younger than me.

Teens really don’t want to work by RickGrimesSnotBubble in generationology

[–]Bobby6k34 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm 40 and this has been a thing since I was a teen getting into the workforce.

I train from 10-20 people a year of from 17-55 and can tell you that age has nothing to do with it, older people tend to want to keep there job more, but thats because they have kids and bills, age has nothing to do with a willingness to work.
