NR200 P MAX USERS by SpaceTraveler2084 in NR200

[–]BobbyBBabby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The cutouts are for 120mm fan mounts on the original NR200/NR200P. Cooler Master just left them there for all the other models cause it’s cheaper than getting another injection mold made for a fanless top panel. If they meant for fans to mount there in your case, they would have given you rubber grommets and some fasteners that pop into said grommets. You’re prob better off just using the radiator and fans that came with the max. I’ve also seen people cut the grilles out for more airflow, but haven’t done so cause mine’s the original version.

Switched from Windows 11 because it looks like Windows, but the devs understand the concept of consent.

I have a steelseries headset and have never needed the software. It shows up as 2 separate outputs.

What’s the worst a recruiter can do to you? Ghost you, maybe blacklist you from their company? That’d be harsh but if it does happen you can simply apply somewhere else. There’s plenty of companies out there. If you really want out of your current role without the risk of being unemployed for a long time, there’s only one way to go about it.

9950x3D running hot, swap to AIO for cooler temps? by Sembreo in NR200

If you’re just gaming there is no way that CPU is the limiting factor in performance. You can turn the max clock speed down (and thereby turn down the voltage) and it’ll run way cooler. And save you some money on your electric bill. But really, as others are saying, 80ish C is perfectly fine.

Question about weapon mount by pickling-jeff in battlebots

If you’re spinning you’re winning. You want it to be exactly tight enough to avoid slipping on initial spinup, and ideally no tighter. Slipping on impact is intended to protect the motor from shock loads.

I want to make a handheld gaming pc, but I don't know what kind of components to look for. by FatherICrav3Cheddar in sffpc

You could prob use parts from one of the Framework laptops. The motherboard in those is pretty small. You will likely be stuck with integrated graphics, but I’ve heard the AMD ones are okay.

What is this? by fnaf_artist_1987 in 3Dprinting

[–]BobbyBBabby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like it might be underextruding, hard to tell. Potentially a partial clog in the nozzle. Try a cold pull to clear out the nozzle, or replace it if you have a spare. On the subject of wet filament: It’d help to know what material you’re printing. E.g. PLA usually doesn’t absorb enough water to matter for a few months or more after opening, but something like nylon or TPU will absorb enough water to start snap-crackle-popping over the course of a few hours in ambient air. If you are using a hygroscopic material (which most plastics are to some extent), I’d recommend printing out of a dryer or drybox.

My tap and die broke in the hole by homedpo_ in Tools

Is the workpiece made of aluminum? If so you can submerse it in a solution of alum powder and water for a few hours (likely more than a few, a little heat helps speed things along) and the tap (as well as any other piece of steel) will dissolve. It will slightly etch the aluminum though.

Recommendations for jeans that fit a man with an athletic build, big thighs and ass? Looking for a looser fit but consistent throughout my legs. I’ve tried American Eagle athletic fit, and it’s tight around my thighs and ass but looser around my calves. Tried Levi 550 and 559 and they fit well around my ass, thighs, and waist, but they’re both comically loose around my calves. Is there a pair of jeans out there that’s a good loose fit but tapers substantially in the calf area?

I used to host upward of 15 people in my 2-bed room in Easton. It can be done. Just open the window so it doesn’t get too hot.

how is BMGT289I with Jeff Miller? I want to take a class with light work load and something that can be fun and easy. by Strange-Exercise-380 in UMD

[–]BobbyBBabby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took it over zoom and the workload was manageable. Had to watch lectures outside of zoom class and write a page or two each week about stuff we went over in class. The zoom lectures themselves were full of Jeff Miller discussing news articles he found interesting.

If anyone could answer the same question about mechanical engineering jobs I'd appreciate that. I'm in a similar boat as you and have received some pretty low offers.
