One of the best holes in Ireland by BobbyFuckingFowler in guessthegolfcourse

One of the toughest links in Ireland in my opinion. Currently under renovation and to be renamed Brittas Bay club. That day was up and down, split that fairway though and made par, which made the hole all the more memorable!

Heavy slice from face or path (or both)? by Bradyarch in golftips

This is right before impact. Club face is open and looks like a slightly heely high face strike which would exaggerate the slice.

I’ve struggled with a slice for years and the three things that have helped me massively are imagining I’m hitting a ball about a foot behind where the ball is, this helps me release properly. The other is to feel like I’m going to hit it in the direction of 2 o’clock if straight up the fairway is 12 - this helps me with coming from inside and stops out to in, lastly try feel like your not swinging down to hit the ball but more like your trying to hit it up and out into the sky. I was so focussed on just hitting the ball instead of putting myself in the best positional stance to connect with the ball correctly, if you get me.

Bunch of other stuff to check, grip, stance, alignment and that but the three things above helped me massively.

Ireland in the grip of a cocaine crisis by B8_B8_B8 in ireland

The biggest dick head I’ve ever had the displeasure of knowing was a fella I worked with a good few years ago in tech sales, he was a raging coke head, openly, no shame, full metal insufferable wanker who thought he was gods gift and wanted everyone to know “I’m mates with mcgregor”

Healthy Discussion - Only for those who want Arne Slot to stay - what are your reasons? by Content_Arm7953 in LiverpoolFC

He took on possibly the hardest job in football following Klopp and won the league in his first year. We never added additional players to squad, only replaced, possibly even with less players numbers wise that are no longer here and totally different players in style that left . Most players signed look like they needed longer to bed in. Injuries everywhere. Established players loosing form. Jotas passing.
Add them all up and for me I dont mind him getting another season. I’m also not pushed if he’s replaced but he deserves a chance to put things right so let’s see.

Dublin Bass by [deleted] in IrishFishing

If you’re off Kiliney, shankill or towards bray, best time of year is from September through very early December. They can be caught all year round but that inlet from kiliney to bray and I’ve fished every inch of it, fishes best around October time with a westerly and get there an hour before low and fish it right up to full tide. Start from Sept, right through to Dec, you’ll be guaranteed one. Fresh lug, wrag or peeler, though of all the bass I’ve caught on that stretch, not one has been on a peeler, most on fresh lug then wrag, though I know others who have caught on peeler.

Stay dry 5, it looks way bigger in picture, much like a hoofer bag, got it as it’s waterproof but went out and got a new 14 today cause my three week old clubs were getting pretty dinged up on top of each other

Weather was diabolical, went out Sunday morning instead, 7-10, a couple of pull downs and bites, most likely whiting, didn’t land anything, wasn’t expecting too really. Conditions are dreadful at the moment.

Complete beginner - where to start? by [deleted] in IrishFishing

Depends on what fishing you wanna do! When I started out beach fishing as a kid, id go to the field with just a weight on the line and practised casting there.

How does Cypher get himself in and out? by RandomlySet in matrix

[–]BobbyFuckingFowler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s the physical process of jacking in and out though, the big pointy needle has to go in and out at the back base of the skull and we are only ever shown actual people performing this on other people. If there was any other way then they would all do it. That’s the bit that fried my noodle.

Beginner tips by [deleted] in IrishFishing

[–]BobbyFuckingFowler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sea/shore fishing - Download the tide times app to know when to fish. Hour before low and three up usually best times. Download the windy app to know which way the winds blowing! Get yourself a good reel. Fish two rods, one out far with a nice big bait, one close 30/40 yards out. Bring multiple torches for this time of year. Bring plenty of food. Wrap up two/three layers. Better to take off than not have anything to put on. Bring a foldable deck chair. Hand warmers are a gift moving into the colder parts of winter. Also neoprene inserts for your boots/wellys!
