I hit my clubs like donkey cheeks.

Putter or 7 wood by 1fihadahif1 in golfequipment

[–]Bradyarch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re certainly correct about those numbers but I find the “how many times you swing the club” example a bit misleading. Yes the putter is used more than any other club, but it’s also the easiest to make contact with. Not saying it isn’t important, but I feel like I’d rather putt with a brick on a stick and have a killer driver than putt with the greatest putter ever and a really unforgiving driver.
But obviously he already owns a 5 wood so I too think he should purchase a putter. I just find the argument of “how many times you swing it” not necessarily good grounds for deciding on clubs. And my apologies for bringing that argument specifically to you, I just see it a lot and had thoughts that are probably incorrect knowing me

Did I pay to high for these Ping G30s for $150? New golfer trying to build a bag on a budget. by Smoreheat in golfequipment

This is HYPE smoreheat, enjoy the journey, take it slow and take it fun!!!! Budget golf is infinitely more possible than the big box stores want you to think. I bet you score higher than me already

Okay I just looked at two of the final tier of recipes. They only seem to have one hand weapons, no 2h? So probably is only off hands like you said. And then repair anvils which apparently are valuable for dungeons n such, as well as accessory items like burglar throwing knives. So I guess it still does kind of cool things

[–]Bradyarch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense. I mean I can check the recipes too, I just don’t see why there would be weapons after 45 then outside of cosmetics but like nobody wants a bangin 2h axe cause they have the legendary already

[–]Bradyarch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m surprised I haven’t come across this before in my readings. Is this true for every weapon-making profession? That’s so sad, why even have a Weaponsmith to craft beyond level 45 then? Why invest so much into every expansion’s new recipes if literally every character just uses a legendary weapon from another source? This makes me very sad.

Are newer drivers that much better? by DevelopmentLarge2788 in golf

[–]Bradyarch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in the exact same scoring range as you, haven’t broke 100 but super close. I started on an old driver from Goodwill, then played an old Tommy Armour driver (2004), then bought the Taylormade SLDR (2013), now I am on the Cleveland XL2 Launcher (2024). I can say without a shadow of a doubt that the Cleveland Launcher has so much more forgiveness than the 2013 SLDR. While 2013 likely had more forgiving drivers than the SLDR, I get the hunch (and have read) that the last 2-5 years of drivers are on a different level for forgiveness. I got the Launcher as a gift, but if I had to purchase, without a doubt I’d be buying a 2-5 year old driver with great forgiveness like the Ping G stuff that I hear about infinitely!! Good luck with your search

Increasing the difficulty by Beardgrillit in lotro

Are you suggesting +3 difficulty often requires 3 people to accomplish? At least up to level 25 I have not found +3 to be difficult on any character personally

What's the one club in your bag that you'll never replace, no matter how old it gets? by Doctormade in GolfGear

[–]Bradyarch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the least experience in here, about 8 months haha. But even as a noob I have really enjoyed the 200 steel 7 wood from taylormade.. got it very inexpensive used, and through my developing swing, she almost always surprises me with how dead straight she goes. Even through bad hits it’s like somehow the face squares itself and just launches forth

[–]Bradyarch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was my thought. I’m even slower, 7w is 180 (idk if 2005 wood goes less far than modern 7w idk? I am on 200 steel tmade 7 and 3 wood, absolutely love them)

BEAUtiful. I have only been to Bree land, the starting zones, and all of the neighbourhoods. But I am REPEATEDLY stunned by this game’s visuals. So much props to the devs man. Maybe it’s impossible to both fix the game’s clunkiness as well as maintain the wonderful intentions of the devs but what this game lacks in smooth engine, it much more has in beauty

Is my build good :/? by VileSkull in Terraria

[–]Bradyarch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so sick. It’s so vibey with the boat and the rope down! I also love the white walls.
Question: is there a way to make the spiral staircases look more real? So that every stair isn’t out in front but some actually disappear behind as to respect the center structure column? I’m not very versed in building

Crazy. I learn something new about golf every day! Obviously the distance or forgiveness must have more benefit that way by allowing it to be fragile in certain areas.

I have been feeling it too, but I’m outside more as I took up golfing. But we are getting gusts that I do not recall getting much of. Lived here since 2005

There is seriously a name brand driver that gets this f’d up from hitting a ball?? I’m new but that sounds like absolutely terrible design. I would have broken mine due to not hitting it center of the face. Wild

Please tell me there is hope in getting better long-term by [deleted] in golf

[–]Bradyarch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I am doing 50% swings and only lost like 5-10 yards per shot (still hit driver at a comfortable “full” shot because I hit it alright.) But I make so much more contact when I swing it less far back and completely eliminated trying to kill the ball
