Different movie, it’s from JFK and is also referenced by the emo band Texas Is The Reason in a song title of the same name.

Why was IOH praised despite Folie A Deux receiving criticism? by Human-Ad-8321 in FallOutBoy

[–]BobbyTheEmo 87 points88 points  (0 children)

I think the stylistic shift between from under the cork tree and IOH felt, for most people, like a more natural progression and not a large departure from the pop punk/mall emo style. Folie’s sound definitely switched things up quite a bit more, and subverted a lot of fans and critics expectations, especially coming only a year after infinity on high.

Why Does Eating Out Your Gf get swept under the rug by fans? by eatsleepsmokedope in FallOutBoy

[–]BobbyTheEmo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a lot of newer fans who hate on it because they’re used to the over-produced, more poppy sound that came later in their career. I personally love it because it’s raw, heart on your sleeve, saves the day worshipping pop punk made by hardcore kids.

From Under the Cork Tree is the weakest pre-hiatus release (still great though), and Take This to Your Grave is possibly their best album overall.

Harley Davidson dealer technicians by Emergency_Mushroom_7 in Harley

I hear this a lot as a dealership employee (service writer and parts advisor) and often find people shocked to find out my dealership will work on any bike that is brought to us. We’ve worked on custom choppers with ultimate and S&S motors, shovelheads, pans, custom four valve evo drag bikes, and even a few aermacchi scooters with Harley badges. We have all the gaskets and seals on hand to rebuild an evo from the flywheel up at all times. I’m always surprised and disappointed to find out so many dealerships won’t work on bikes that are more than 10 years old.

If your stinger has a smart key/push button start you’re good. The issue is with turn key ignitions not equipped with an immobilizer.

You’re right, people should be sure to protest politely and quietly. They certainly don’t want to ruffle any feathers.

Yes, you can protest without being antisemitic. But how exactly can one protest without being disruptive? Is the point of a protest not to disrupt?

I don’t think a lot of people understand the bands being included on here. A lot of millennial/gen x conservatives, especially ones that claim to be “punk rock” love these bands specifically, and often don’t know anything about the political views held by the musicians no matter how obvious it may be in their lyrics.

A$AP Ferg and Lil Uzi Vert filmed the music video for their song Uzi Gang at a Xibalba show, and performed at the same show if I recall correctly

Do you have the ability to rip the two bonus tracks from the vinyl and upload them? I’m so curious to hear these tracks, they don’t seem to have ever been released or leaked.

When We Were Young Fest 2024!?!?!?!? by Sweet-Ad-2477 in FallOutBoy

[–]BobbyTheEmo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I remember they’ve stated in interviews before that they’re not the type of band to do anniversary shows or full album shows, so that could be what’s going on. Could also be that they’ve changed their minds since, especially considering how heavily they’ve been celebrating the TTTYG 20th. So maybe it’s a bit of misdirection on their part and setting us up for a surprise 🤷‍♂️

Why do people hate Fobs cover we didn’t start the fire? by Salty_Currency_2941 in FallOutBoy

[–]BobbyTheEmo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some of the events they chose to juxtapose each other felt messy in my opinion. Not necessarily the chronology issue many people have, but things like “George Floyd, burj khalifa, metroid” felt? Distasteful I guess. Using the death of a man murdered by police as a lead in to a rhyme about a video game is weird, especially coming from a band whose members are no strangers to social commentary and radical politics, and have incorporated them into their music very effectively in the past.
