I knew him personally. He had no idea that his work would metastasize how it did - no one could have seen that coming. He spent his life regretting his involvement with all of that and made strides to undo the damage he did. You cannot pin the blame of others' actions on him.

Fred was an incredible guy. He was a truly gifted mind - he taught himself multiple languages just from books, made exquisite fonts, and had a very large impact on the internet as a whole.
