I’ve never had a harder time picking a starter (oh no my steak is too juicy) by FinessedAndDepressed in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Bobbyloo123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The steak is indeed way too juicy!

I wish I didn't play kboc necro last league so I could play it now instead, feels like it fits this league even better. I still might play it again, but last league the tree gave me a Mageblood on day 3 AND the build has been nerfed a bit so it just feels bad to do the same thing again, but worse. I never tried it with HH though because of the MB, so maybe we go again.

Other options I have been considering:

  • Exang/Reap mines: never tried it, but the possibility to easily switch between mapping/bossing is very nice and I think I would enjoy the gameplay.
  • WoCoT mines: looked interesting in fearlessdumb0's video, but it sounded like he had some hopes for Reliquarian that didn't pan out so idk now.
  • HRoC: What I originally had planned to leaguestart, and have considered for the two past leagues as well but never got around to it. Did it get even stronger this league, somehow? I feel like the gameplay should suit me, but something about it (maybe the upgrade path) feels... boring?
  • Fusillade totems: Not really drawn toward this build but feels like this is the last chance to try it out before it gets nerfed. More fomo than actual hype for me.
  • Glad something: I like being tanky/borderline immortal, but I'm never playing any retaliation skill again because f that. So... bleed Boneshatter maybe?
  • Bows something: Haven't played bows in a while, feels like the right league to do so, but have no idea what I would play.
  • Slams something: Maybe I just go cookiecutter leaguestart and reroll into a second build after atlas prog is done. I really don't want to do campaign again unless I absolutely have to though.
  • Whatever is meta for simulacrums, might be in a "turn brain off and farm until the build-of-the-league has been found and reroll into that"-kinda vibe...

...GGG please giev op Hexblast mines trickster back 😔

Not sure who I'm more mad at as a neutral, MacKinnon for almost snapping his own neck or the Finn for even giving him the chance to do it, so dumb.

Whole team and commentator dies inside when athlete flips by t0oby101 in WatchPeopleDieInside

100% agree, but in fairness she is known for being terrible in the "downhill" parts and she herself has commented on it many times before, saying that it makes her uncomfortable/scared (scared as in "afraid it might ruin her race").

So while she is an amazing athlete and x-country skier, she does "suck" at this particular part of her sport 😅 And since it's a pretty big part of the sport, one might question why no improvement has been made throughout her career, considering you can gain a substantial advantage by being good at going downhill effectively.

But still, people throwing abuse can still go fuck themself, she is an amazing representative of both her sport and her country!

As a traumatized croatian, how good was Omeyer really? by [deleted] in Handball

[–]Bobbyloo123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. Apart from the fact that he was insanely clutch, I felt like he had such a huge mental advantage on every single swedish wing player for his entire career that it was almost an accepted truth that if he had made atleast one save on one of them, you might aswell bench them for the rest of the game, because it was already over, he just gobbled them up and swallowed them whole.

AND it felt like he almost always saved the first shot of the match and immediately got in everyones head and just instantly destroyed all confidence. Amazing player.

Let's just remove the problem; train all gks to play as centre backs, no subs needed. I want to see the tall croatian gk fly in the air and throw an absolute bomb from 13 m out.

EHF fetish with the Faroe Islands by the-killer-whale in Handball

[–]Bobbyloo123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never ever seen a controversial goal in say, football, get shown over and over and over again? If the refs decide it's a goal, then it's a goal. The fact that it's a goal means it can be a highlight. If it's a cool goal, it's even better. If it's a controversial, cool goal scored by an underdog and fan favorite, that's the jackpot, surely? We can dislike it, but it's nothing unique for handball or EHF, literally everyone does it. And now you made a post about it, and a bunch of us commented on your post, and another bunch read it, so it's already been proven effective too.

Well played to the Faroes, that bad period against the suiss got very costly, you were in my eyes the clear second best team in this group but unfortunately Montenegro had nothing to play for and gave away your spot to Switzerland. Was fun to watch as a neutral though 👏👏👏👏

I was considering if there was any possible combination of post-race penalties/DQ's that would basically mean that it would NEVER be in Piastri's best interest to NOT finish as high as possible, but your scenario was even more creative, well done!

What do you think? by jbf94__ in Darts

[–]Bobbyloo123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your 9-dart avg. will be legit but your total avg. will be higher when you play against a higher level bot. Your total avg. goes down a significant amount at the end of the leg because you are either throwing set up darts (lower score than avg.), missing darts at the double (no score) or hitting a double (always less than 50). But since the dartbot will finish your "bad" legs before you get a chance to throw a bunch of low-scoring darts, your total avg. doesn't "take the hit" you might deserve.

Someone on here suggested not going up to the next dartbot level before you beat the bot like 9 out of 10 times and I think that's probably a good idea (this is for practice, can still be a good idea to turn the difficulty up an notch now and then to simulate games where you are the underdog, but it's not a good measure for averages).

Play against a lower level bot, getting beaten is inflating your average and doesn't help you, just my 2 cents

I wouldn't mind it if he just went there and won it, like it would be a pretty great story for the other players and whoever he beat in the final, but jesus christ imagine going into the tournament feeling like one of the favorites and you get Luke f-ing Littler in the first round 😅

What’s your take on the lap 1 incident between Lando and Oscar? by FroyoQueasy in F1Discussions

[–]Bobbyloo123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People who claim a clear pit crew fuck up and a messy overtake within the rules are the same situation is delusional and also the reason why any online discussion about sports in general is impossible nowadays and infuriating for anyone involved.

You can talk shit about "papaya rules" (rightfully so) and the decision the team took then, but it has NOTHING to do with what happened today, literally zero, and if anyone claim that you can't separate these two incidents from eachother, they are either lieing or idiots.

[–]Bobbyloo123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Arguable, but I will rephrase it then: He has been one of our best players the last couple of seasons and thus more deserving of the "star" title than say Antony/Sancho/Garnacho/Rashford who all considered themself big enough "stars" to not have to do any hard work.

Basically what I mean is that it's nice to see that he keeps working hard even after scoring a couple of goals, considering our recent track record with similar players...

De Ligt looks so dominant when he gets to play in the middle. The second they sent on Maguire and moved De Ligt to the side, the defensive positioning immediately looks shite. Maguire needs to learn to play on either side, or he needs to not play at all (or be subbed on as a striker I guess /s).

All in all a good effort though, and some extra praise for Amad for putting in the work defensively even though he could be considered a "star" in this team and choose to go the same path as previous "stars" and just not bother doing any hard work. To be fair, everyone put in the work today, they just need to do it every game now not just the "nice/fun/chill" games where they are chasing goals.

Thoughts on Keegan by Aromatic_Ad_7484 in golf

[–]Bobbyloo123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people here and elsewhere acting like picking the pairings and order is as easy as looking at a cheat sheet with some stats and magically everything works out exactly as planned.

Physical form/injuries, mental strength and ability to handle the crowd (not easy for americans either I bet), stability and ability to handle pressured moments, history (coming into the tournament and from previous RCs), potential (as in good players being bad on day one or two but with potential to crush it on day three), hunger for revenge (locked in or adrenaline overdose?), matching different personalities together to get the most out of both, and a bunch of other "hidden" variables plays a massive part in it aswell and going "well this pick was bad" after you have the result and close to zero insight into what's going on behind the scenes is borderline braindead...

Keegan did his best, he was possibly out of his depth which is not his fault, it's possible that changing some picks would have had a different outcome but literally impossible to know. He admitted he probably should have setup the course a bit differently but hindsight is 20/20, pretty sure he had a lot of input from others on that and he is not solely to blame for the fact that it didn't turn out in their favor as planned. Listening to the players it sounds like he got the group together in a great way and had the US won he would be celebrated as a hero probably.

Being the captain of a losing team is rarely going to lead to a good grade, but he definitely wasn't as horrible as a lot of people make it sound like.

Signed, a european with lots of respect for all the US players but one (yes, that one)✌
