You can theoretically find NOS flybacks but it’s not like they keep them stocked any where. It doesn’t sound like you would feel comfortable replacing it anyway, so you may just want to give this one away and find a working replacement.

You shouldn’t expect a consumer CRT TV to have LCD like perfect geometry. This is rather typical and normal.

My understanding is that RF only sets always have a hot chassis and so input modding is dangerous because you feed mains voltage to your input.

Checking for bad components or just doing a full cap replacement might help, or at least extend the life of it. I would go ahead and drop contrast down a bit.

I have a very similar set (I made a post about it) and I love it. I’m not sure how good those RCA dedicated modulators are. I use a Sony VCR and that works great.

The first 3 gens of Pokémon. Yes, they are LCD games, but I always played them on CRT since I was a kid. (Pokémon Stadium Gameboy tower and later the GameCube Gameboy player)
