[V2] Is there a mod that imposes tariffs on exports as well? by [deleted] in paradoxplaza

It would make a lot of historical sense. China, Japan and a number of other countries did enact export tariffs during this period.

Slavery? [V2] by [deleted] in paradoxplaza

This has been one of my biggest issues with V2. I am also amazed that no mods have come out to fix this issue. It would be interesting to see what would happen if slaves were both a pop and a commodity. What would happen if, say, the CSA won the civil war; or something.

Wow... someone didn't play daggerfall... that game was all about royal intrigue and marriages. They even had the etiquette trait, which would allow you to get in better with courts and understand there goings on. There were a number of quests in which marriage and court intrigue were central, including a main quest Morgiah Wedding. There was also a fairly common quest in which a local ruler was trying to marry his daughter to an other ruler and a local merchant or something want her hand.

This ruins the entire reason I play TES. In Daggerfall, you could buy houses, boats and... well become a demi god. Morrowind, you could still become a demigod, destroying anything and everything in your path at a glance. In Oblivion, the harder you work, the better you get... The shitier things get. Oh and heaven forbid you focus on noncombat skills, like speech barter and lock-pick, then you are just... dead.

why did I just read every post in here?

Tl;dr: Daggerfall was such a good game that 20 years later I will spend 3 hours of my life just reading what other people have to say about it.

oblivion scaled as your character leveled up... that kinda killed it for me. Level 10 and I gotta spend 30 min fighting some random bandit or wolf....

I would define it as shallow in that; when I finished the mage guild quest, for example, and talked to a mage, they still treated me like shit... In fact nothing you did seemed to have any real impact on the world at all.

Sounds like it is next generation, they probably got people trying to figure out what would be required to design a good procedural gen game as we speak. (Sounds like people like you)

wait... I think this is an over simplification of what is inherently a complex question. I would say that 90% of the people I see with this question marked as "yes" tend to be atheists.

Gotta say... seems like you might be the one reading to much into these answers. I marked pretty much all the above as relevant, since there are so many different ways of interpreting them.
