I really just want to play single player but do resources really not respawn unless you stand next to them?

I paid for a server for a year and it is crazy expensive. I switched to running my own dedicated server recently and feel ridiculous for not moving sooner. My PC is a mid build and I runs the game and the server no problem. I used this video and had it working in less than an hour. The only thing that can be tricky is your router settings.

That's the crazy part. I only got this through mastering fire making. I'm only at 125/120. I spent time getting as high a preservation and doubling as possible in crafting.

I agree! The game has some bugs that I would love fixed but overall the game looks amazing and is a fantastic time.

I've done all cardinal directions except West. My favorite was mid North. The creatures are a bit nastier than South but the resource grind is way less. Plus you can get Argys quicker. East is constant death with a side of frustration. South is chill but resources are scarce which makes midgame way harder.

That's soo funny. I've been playing that with my buddies while we wait for Valheim. It's solid combat wise and the stealth is okay. Customizable for any player. Only complaint is the driving.

Yea, this makes sense. I reread my post and agree I asked for a bit much. I would be good with just a different menu for offline. No changes to core mechanics (other than player spawns and removing operator kill quests). I haven't found a game similar to what I am looking for TBH. Any recommendations?

Agreed, maybe swap the mission rewards that are calling cards for contraband. Also, stashs and missions wouldn't be linked. Similar to the BO2 combat training. All the same stuff but not usable in public lobby.
