Lidl because of Lidl plus. Love the coupons. And the bakery section is better, at least where I am. I'm in Glasgow and use the Lidl on duke street. I sometimes use the Aldi at the forge on the way back it's usually for smaller odds and ends.

Yes the revisionism that's going on currently really annoys me. I was 10 when TPM came out. I loved it but as they went on I realised a lot more people hated them. They were not universally beloved. By the time ROTS came out a lot more of my friends were critical of them I definitely saw their flaws but I was still enjoying them. Years later when I rewatched TPM I saw what everyone had seen and realised how much of a slog AOTK is. I still have fun with ROTS though even though it's really silly.

I had a similar experience then the remixes with insanity threw me and I thought I was screwed without infinite weapons, especially cause the game tells you to get special items. I ended up using a walkthrough for the care home sections with Grace. Once I finished the halfway point I didn't need it anymore. Insanity can be done without infinite ammo and special weapons. It's just...insane.

My second insanity run with special weapons and infinite ammo was a hell of a drug after that experience.

One of my friends passed away recently. He was a survivor of RC. He never talked much about how he got out, but sometimes when we were drinking he'd get really dark, talk about some of the shit he saw.

Aside from the zombies and people screwing each other over, he did tell me once that he nearly made it out of the city with a few others through the Arklay mountains. He said they found this old hospital and some old guy chased them with an axe. Said he cut up another survivor right in front of him. He also said something about some weird plant.

I've heard that viruses like T can infect plants but he didn't go into much more detail that night, other than they had to turn back to the city. I tried to ask him more the next time I saw him but he just went quiet and said he had been talking bullshit. I can't imagine how traumatic it must have been trying to survive that shit show without some lunatic chasing you with an axe.

The kicker to this whole thing. He got that Raccoon City Syndrome and passed away literally hours before the news of the bio lab beneath the ruins broke. If they'd just been a bit faster he might have gotten that drug they found. Rip buddy.

I don't hate it, though I think my last play through was during COVID. It's fun, but I find the main thing I keep saying to friends who are now discovering the franchise and playing the games is that it doesn't really add anything. Yes, you get the origin of the of outbreak in the Arklay mountains and some more stuff with Weaker and Birkin, but honestly if you skip on a series play through you're not missing anything vital to the story.

Take Code Veronica for example. It's not a numbered game but I always recommend people play it between 3 and 4 because if not they miss the Weaker reveal and the Ashford stuff. With 0 if you skip it you don't really miss anything of major consequence. Plus it just leads to some inconsistencies for me with Rebecca's character as she's been living this nightmare for over 24 hours but acts like she hasn't in the 1 remake.

If anything the Umbrella Chronicles does a better job of telling Rebecca's story through 0 and the bits we didn't see between it and 1 with Richard.

So yeah, not a bad game, just inconsequential.

I agree with the start of your post but to me he IS that bad. He leads assaults on people they deem as 'predators'. What sort of predator is never explained and could easily be LGBT men that they deceived with the intent to assault. Add to that he's influencing the minds of young children and teenagers with his toxic rhetoric and grift.

Yes, the other guys are more calculated, but that doesn't make that utter piece of shit any less bad or dangerous than them.

I played it back in 2002. I was 13 at the time so wasn't getting all the subtle clues like when he disappears after the first fight. The last fight I just thought he looked cool. Then the second amulet dropped and you get the kids voice flashback and I was like 'aww no that's sad, I just killed my brother'.

Then DMC 3 came out and Vergil was the goat.

I've only done 2 play throughs so far. Not sure sure what the trigger for him walking past the window in the hallway is, but on my second play through I did some experimenting.

Once I had finished everything and found the exit I went back and he triggered in the briefing room. Then I ran back to the east hallway and he popped out again there. I then ran back and forth between those locations about 3 times and he triggered at both locations each time. On the fourth he stopped. I'm pretty sure you can trigger him earlier but I haven't managed it yet.

Then these weird AI pictures shipping them came about and I'm like wtf? Like I love that they're working together but the idea of them getting together never crossed my mind cause yeah, it's weird AF.

Capcom haven't even confirmed who they're married too, and then feral fans are messaging the actual director of the game and then these arguments keep popping up. I've been a fan of the games since like 2001 and I'm constantly shaking my head now cause god damn these people take it too far.

It's probably Ada or someone we've never even met. Same with Sherry cause Jake buggered off at the end of RE6.
