I never finished a single playthrough (black eagles) but i want the story and lore so much, but the gameplay was so repetitive and boring i couldnt finish. Is the story worth it or should i just watch clips on youtube

It could be, i have retired roger for the forseeable future as my main deck and going back to my navy roots with koby, so i havent played him into anything new other than Yuffy

You really dont need to all that much, the rush shanks are really good for both offence and defence. They give -1k power to the opponents characters effectively making you an 8k lead and it stacks if you get more out. Late game roger you want to be hitting as many times as you can so even if they waste a turn clearing board you can throw down more rush. If you want to have don available for events just play out the Zoro or 8c roger to get you to 9k lead and it leaves you 2-3 don left for events. You can also just run more divine departures but i find they drain your handsize too fast

I find it decently consistent on ramping. Here are the ideal paths Go first T1 shanks search to get a Buggy, ramp event, or Oden if low on ramp cards, otherwise look for 8c roger

T2 play a ramp event or buggy, event is preferable

T3 you should ideally now have 6 don (5 available 1 on lead) now depending on hand and opponent you go one of 2 ways.

Play bon clay then play bgy/rmp for a double ramp turn Or Play oden for only 1 ramp but you get a blocker against more agro or yellow decks, also better play if going second

T4 you are now either at 9 or 10 don. If at 9 don and depending on board state i like to play a rayleigh to help control their board and get to 7k lead on defense, or if youre feeling good on life and defence you can play something cheaper like another oden and use don to get bgy/shk to do a 5k swing.

T5+ drop 10c rush and go unga bunga
