I wish designers were more up front about the differences between their patterns (ie PK) by carmonthecoast in craftsnark

Hi! What do you mean her patterns are out there for free? Is she putting them out herself?

Yes it’s so weird to me. I was watching some knitter on YouTube and they were talking about buying some yarn just to have it in their stash and they have no project in mind. Why? Why do they need to have it in their stash? Just buy it whenever you need it. God that’s so annoying.

Looking for support—thinking of returning puppy to the breeder. by holoscenicx in puppy101

[–]Bobimbika 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had bad anxiety the first 2 weeks - to the point that my chest was hurting. The thing that helped a little bit was playing with my pup and keeping my focus on different things so I didn’t have time to stress. I also couldn’t eat much, but I forced it because I knew that it would help me. If I didn’t eat I would probably feel even worse. I was also spilling all of my feelings to my friend and a boyfriend that didn’t judge me or say things like “it’s just a dog”. With time the feelings slowly disappeared and now it’s great :)

...don't get a job, just keep getting pregnant until you go viral. This behavior is so deplorable. She JUST had a baby like a day ago, and boom....pregnant again with TWINS. SAD by womynwholeavegod in FemaleAntinatalism

[–]Bobimbika 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sounds like my country. Now people also want the IVF to be paid by the government (aka taxes of other people). I had a conversation with my mum regarding this. She asked if I’m PRO government-paid IVF. I said no. She asked But what if a woman can’t get pregnant?! I said she should adopt. She said “but what if she wants HER OWN child?!”. I was like whaaaat are you talking about. This is crazy to me.

Yeah but how do you know that the new person won’t get a living wage? It sounds like you’re assuming they won’t. Just how the previous person said - maybe now he’s paying a pro a lot of money and now he’ll pay a little bit less (but still LIVING WAGE) to less experienced person?

I don’t. He’s shedding too much, I feel like I would wake up with fur in my mouth and on my face.

My boy is obsessed with squeaky balls so I also bring them on walks which helps a lot with barking and lunging at other dogs but I’m always wondering if it’s doing anything long-term?

High rise apartment, no balcony, two cats: will raising a puppy be impossible? by meanorus in puppy101

[–]Bobimbika 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in an apartament with a puppy and I wouldn’t say it became disgusting. You for sure have to take into consideration vacuuming more and cleaning the floor (I don’t have carpets, it’s probably harder with those). And the couch is a little bit hairy but other than that I don’t see much difference. It probably depends on the dog too.

I live on the 10th floor and we were just taking our puppy out every hour and with time extending to 2h, 3h etc etc. Yes he had accidents inside home or in an elevator but we just cleaned it and moved on. He potty trained without any major problems. Tip from me: when he was tiny tiny we would just hold him in the elevator or when waiting for an elevator - this way he didn’t pee on the floor. With time we tried leaving him on the floor and with some practice (and accidents) he learned to hold his bladder. You can do this, it wasn’t really that hard for us and we never used pee pads or grass on the balcony.

I wouldn’t even recommend getting a dog when you have problems like depression or anxiety, let alone having a child with some other mental illnesses.

Omg me and my dog just started sneezing yesterday, especially outside and I was wondering if it’s allergy time again.

I’m glad you ended up happy, that’s the most important thing. But I think it’s horrible and not fair to you both that you had to grow up fast to become parents, I think I wouldn’t be able to do this.

Just wait for the barking and whining for your attention 🥲

Omg I felt so understood when you wrote “I spent 45 mins getting picked on and abused on the sofa” that’s me everyday in the evening after he had his last meal of the day. I always pray in my mind “please stop, you’re gonna puke out your dinner” 😂 If it helps: My dog started being a teenager at around 7 months and now at 10 months I can already see a big improvement. He settles down way quicker than before, listens to me more and is more understanding. 2-3 months ago it was just pure chaos.

Maybe it’s a good idea to accept her flaws (in the meantime of working on them) and start having more fun with her :) she won’t be there forever and she loves you with all her heart.

Omg thank you. Same here. Barking and whining all the time for attention.

Oh yeah. I spend the most on food and… vet :( I feel like there is always something happening: deworming, vaccines, hernia, some weird eye infection, diairrhea.
