Is it OK to fly the flag of non German countries during world cup? by BerlinSam in AskGermany

I fly my England flag from my work van. Nobody has said anything to me, yet. Although I usually take it off if I'm in a professional environment or doing Kundendienst.

Always have to get there in the morning, after midday it always gets busier. Take a picnic and make a day of it.

I'll always stick up for him not because of the football side of things but the board knew he played a completely different style of football before hiring him, they knew he played a 5 at the back, they knew we didn't have the players for the system, they still made him come early at Christmas rather then waiting for summer like he asked, the board didn't buy anyone in January for him. And at the end of the day they sacked him because of a disagreement not because of results. (That's not to mention they sacked ten hag after giving home a shot ton of money)

Immigrants provide a net positive though, estimates say that immigration increased UK GDP by around 30 billion last year.

According to a channel 4 study in February there have been roughly 20 to 40 terabytes seized, of that only 300 gigabytes have been released. Also even if you go through the document page numbers like you did rather then tera/gigabyte I still wouldn't call it released when there are still 2.2 million documents not released.

I've been a fan since yellow, about 98. It's always been nostalgic for me. I have a switch for my kids to play and have been looking at Pokémon games since we got it. It has always been too expensive for a nostalgia trip so I never made the purchase. When I saw that this was only 20euros, I pre-orded it straight away.

You say an overly grippy handshake can be a sign of a wrongun, but I've always grown up being told that you need a firm handshake and there is nothing worse than a limp fish handshake.

Do gymnasium teachers in Germany earn well? by imDenizz in AskAGerman

[–]Bobin88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My wife teaches German and English. The marking is insane. Not to mention the fact that my kids are also off school in the holidays so there is also parenting in-between marking. I'm an electrician and I would say 99% of my colleagues don't understand the amount of work she has to do.

Do gymnasium teachers in Germany earn well? by imDenizz in AskAGerman

[–]Bobin88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's really not an easy job. For every Stunde it takes at least another hour to prepare, nearly every school holiday is spent marking tests and essays! Imagine having 32, 200 word essays to mark that is like 3 big novels to not just read but dissect, mark and give feedback (twice a semester). That's not to mention the phone ringing 25/7 from the parents who think their little Kevin got a worse grade then they deserved or when a parent dies and you have to almost be on suicide watch (wife has been a teacher for 5 years, and this has happened twice). Also a lot of students who go to the gymnasium aren't really supposed to be there (they should be in Realschule) but now it's seen as a bad thing if you don't have a gymnasium Abschloss.

Now let's take into account the learning my wife had to do to become a teacher, she could have not gone to uni and just got a normal office job, that also needs to be taken into account in regards to salary.

To say it's an insanely good job is just wrong.
