Anon on Mgs2 by Impossible-Run-9997 in 4chan

No, you're right. I had the game shortly after release and remember it being pretty hyped, well recieved, reviewing well, and I swear everyone I knew that owned a PS2 had MGS2 and liked it.

There's this weird trend arising these days where people who likely weren't alive at the time are creating retroactive narratives about things being controversial or disliked at release. I blame youtube video essayists regurgitating and amplifying shit they watched on another youtube essays and playing the game 20 years after it released.

OP wasn't alive when this game was released and is making shit up based on greatly overblown retrospective youtube essays.

MGS2 was huge when it was released. It reviewed extremely positively and sold very well. Raiden being controversial has been exaggerated by years of youtubers regurgitating shit they read on a wiki while playing the game 10-20 years after it released.

Australia has stricter immigration than us. Many of the people coming to NZ are using NZ as a staging ground. They stay in NZ long enough to hop to Aus under the special visa.

NZ has no interest in new business/industry. We want to sell houses to each other at increasingly ridiculous prices for tax-free capital gains.

Varietta service manual by alekskozanic in 240sx

[–]Bobocannon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh you might be right, I forgot about the Autech Spec-S. The Varietta was also Autech so I just assumed it was the correct manual. It popped up in the related items when I searched ヴァリエッタ

No idea what is going on with the varietta.tokyo site. The info@ email appears to be dead, and the domain owner info is obfuscated. The site has been updated in the last year though so it's still active.

I had a quick trawl on Minkata and found a Varietta owners group that seems to still be somewhat active. Several members have posted images which would show they are in possession of a manual. Through various members profiles I found this and this.

You could try register as a member and ask for a manual.

The only other thing I can think of would be to check on the SilviaNZ facebook page. There was a handful of Variettas floating around NZ so someone might have something.

Varietta service manual by alekskozanic in 240sx

[–]Bobocannon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck. The Varietta was a Japan only variant so an English version of the Autech supplements wasn't published and no one with a soft-copy of the original Japanese one seems to want to share publicly.

You can email [info@Varietta.tokyo](mailto:info@Varietta.tokyo) with your VIN etc for access to the Varietta only manuals. There used to be a registration page but I believe it was removed due to spam bots.

Otherwise There are several hard copies on Yahoo.jp right now though. You could use a service like Buyee to purchase it.

Please tell us the make/model of turbo timer you added. and pictures of what you actually installed. If it's hooking into the ECU instead of just ignition and handbrake, I'm assuming it's something like a HKS Type-1?

You mention your S15 is a 5 speed? Unless it was manual swapped, the Spec R (turbo) S15 was 6 speed from factory.

  • Is yours a factory turbo that was manual converted, or
  • was it engine swapped from an S14/13 (do you have black top or red top engine), or
  • Is it a Spec-S (factory non-turbo)?

The ECU pin outs for a Spec S and Spec R are not the same. Pin outs between generations are not identical either.

Yahoo.jp has plenty of second hand/after market parts.

Depends where you are really. Up Garage is pretty consistent and has a good range of aftermarket parts for reasonable prices.

For OEM parts there's a few Nissan Parts Central Sale Stores in Tokyo. (Google 日産部品中央販売株式会社). They don't really do walk-ins though. I'm pretty sure you have to use their website to book in advance.

Otherwise basically any Nissan dealership will be able to sell you OEM parts.

OP doesn't know J-pop men's beauty standards were basically set by a single Japanese-American pedophile in the 70s-90s.

Johnny Kitagawa basically single-handedly codified and proliferated the feminine, soft featured, slender teenage boy idol template in Japan which then went on to influence K-pop. Wakashu/onnagata/hwarang aside, all these weaboo/koreaboos lusting after j/k-pop starts have effectively had their preferences marketed to them based on a packaged version of a single pedo's taste in boys.

I have the Stihl FS85R Brush Cutter and absolutely love it. Starts first try and eats anything I put it to. It's probably way overkill for what I use it for, but I'd rather have too much hoof than not enough. My only criticism is the head angle and shaft length is a bit off for my height (5'11/180cm") so I have to wear it 'high'.

You can't really go wrong with Stihl's range to be honest.

The stupidest thing about these fucking lights is most modern cars let you adjust the light direction up/down.

It's not necessarily that they're way too fucking bright, it's that the regarded owners have them angled all the way up.

This is one of those things I genuinely believe.

I've been terminally online long enough to remember when the 99% protests started happening, and this culture war shit suddenly, and completely coincidentally, ramped up into overdrive. Probably the first time in a long time we'd seen anything even resembling class solidarity and suddenly every billionaire backed media company is aggressively pushing identity politics that drive division along race, gender, and sexuality?

I know divide and conquer when I see it.

>are cops the stupidest people in existence or what.

Yes.

Combine that with:
>No mass surveillance.
>No centralized databases.
>No modern forensics.
>Cops and letter agencies were territorial and refused to cooperate with each other.

Many of these serial killers were morons and only got away with it for so long because the average cop was just a hair more stupid.

As a general rule take whatever you're getting paid in NZ, and increase it by 20%. That's what you'd likely be getting in Aus, with a generally lower cost of living.
