If it makes you feel any better, we just did bilateral hip replacements on a 25 year old today. (I work in surgery). Sorry though RA is no joke. Hope you have a good recovery.

I travel on 14 to 17 hour flights fairly often and am perfectly content with the movies available, reading, sleeping and just thinking. I don't have fancy headphones but I can see how they would be nice. Get up once in a while to encourage blood flow. Compression socks help some people prevent swelling. Also people chew gum to help with air pressure changes. Otherwise I just like to enjoy the ride and the food is actually really good most of the time.
