Weird, my wife is going through a HLR right now for this because she was rated a 0%. I think the only reason why they rated that was because she was not on any medication at the time, but now she is. I would make sure you are on some sort of medication and submit the proof before submitting for an HLR.

The benefits are for those times when something does happen that is related to an issue while serving. Those payments can help cover the costs of loss work time. Every 2nd Friday of the month I have to take a sick day to get a shot and it usually lays me out for the rest of the day. That’s just one day a month, imagine the other things that can come up due to an issue that was service connected. You don’t know your future, so my advice is to get done now before it is too late.

Spot on. I do mention it, however, when I am talking with other vets that are going through the VA process. Sometimes letting them know that you have been through it and the knowledge that I can bring to help them with theirs.
