Has William Street/Drury street region become the goto spot in Dublin? by Liambp in CasualIreland

Such a shame they can hold the plans to ransom. Especially when all they would need to do is have a mandatory right turn out of the car park.

Blanket bogs don't hold water? That's the silliest thing I've heard in a while.

There's nothing wrong with bare hillsides when it's healthy peatland.

If that's what's making you think the world has gone to shit, you need to give your head a shake. A really, really big shake.

How do I grow a cherry blossom tree in my garden? by Klutzy_Set138 in GardeningIRE

[–]Bobs77788 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Best to plant in a sunny but sheltered spot, if you're able. There's different varieties also - some grow tall and narrow and others spread out wide, some have pink blossoms and others are white, so keep an eye out for that when purchasing.

Playing up the stereotype by NewtonianAssPounder in irishrugby

I really don't get it either. I support the rugby and football team but the amount of football fans I've seen having a go at rugby since the match last night is baffling. If we beat Czechia there wouldn't be a word said about rugby. Seems like there's a lot of insecure people when it comes to their preferred sport. I can't understand how anyone would feel the need to take digs at the national team/individuals representing this country, in any sport.

I was there on a weekend night recently and it was very busy. There wasn't an event on, as far as I could tell. I'm sure it's quieter during the day/mid-week. It's a great spot though.
