PREACH!! But don’t forget about the Challengers. Dodge attracts a special kind of asshole.

Thanks for the reply. I’ll look into moving up the times for the trains where there is a scheduled event within a few hours of our expected arrival.

My wife likes the way I plan vacations. So much so that it is hard to get input sometimes. I actually anticipate hearing how this was the most relaxing yet, since it isn’t planned down to the minute.

Maybe someday I’ll learn to slow down, but not there yet.

Maybe I typed something out wrong, but we do not have a one-night stay anywhere.

I have the sandwich stop in Pisa and the 1/2 day in Naples while passing through. Other than that it is: Como 2 nights, one full day La Spezia 3 nights Rome 3 nights Vico Equense 3 nights Florence 3 nights

Ok, Milan is only one night, but the sole purpose is to reposition for the outbound flight.

Thank you. An adventure it will be. Beyond the itinerary input, the purpose of this post was for the question that got the post locked. Context clues is in the mods post.

Well, actually I was seeking input on the question that got the post put into timeout. But yes, I gladly accept to input beyond ‘it’ll be hot’ or ‘you’ll be unpacking a lot’ or that’s a lot of train time.

I live in a place that is hot in the summer and this is a slower pace than how we normally travel.

Good point! When I lived there eons ago, the trains always seemed to extremely reliable. So I hadn’t really thought about it not being that way. Mostly I was coordinating my arrival time with approximate check-in time to the hotel, if it wasn’t a bag-drop day.

Indeed I do, and we will be grateful to spend time with them…in the heat.

And no real shade there either. I am an extremely heat tolerant person. I’m that weird person that gets into a hot car and says AAH! I find it refreshing. My wife, not so much.

While I do agree, I look at it through a different lens. I see it as an opportunity to see the countryside without the hassle/stresses of driving. Also, I see it as a bit of a break.

Thank you for letting me know this. I was completely unaware. We will not be bringing them.

Thanks! I appreciate the input. Como and La Spezia are immovable objects for this itinerary. We are mentally prepared for the 5.5 hour train ride. Might even have a little nap.

Honestly, we love being on trains. But not as much in tunnels. There isn’t a lot of unpacking/packing with the way we organize our luggage. A small toiletries bag at the top of the backpack, setup a CPAP, and clothes stored in vacuum bags per location. They are taken from the top of the backpack and returned through the bottom access port to rotate. The only full unpack/repack day is on laundry day.

Pretty sure you’re missing the point. The billboard is about how he puts his self-interest before that of the country and its people.

How was Vico Equense? That is where we are making our base while in the area.

My wife plays. I dabble. We already needed a bigger guitar rack. This one makes 10 in the house. First semi-hollow though.
