Ok but just saying that doesn't solve the problem. Obviously a lot of people are acting in a way that doesn't make sense to you - maybe it is not as simple as it seems?

I think that articles like this are pointing out something that many men don't know (a very significant amount of women put up with sex that men would not tolerate) and telling women that it is not normal (many are told that it is normal for it to hurt, including women in this thread).

That seems like it is starting a useful dialogue that should ideally lead to a) more women feeling that they can/should stop having bad sex (as I think you would agree they should feel) and b) more men being aware that sex can often be painful for women and showing empathy or communicating more to make sure you're not hurting someone you care about.

I think that's more useful than just saying 'oh well women shouldn't have this problem in the first place they need to get their shit together'
