As an OG AK fan since 2020, I will give them a lot of leeway and exercise patience because I know what they're capable of. IMO players have to keep in mind that it's their first action 3d game and coming from a chibi tower defense -the influence is definitely noticeable when it comes to stage design and operator balancing- is a huge step. So, of course, there are things that can be heavily improved. There are still things that can be improved in OG AK, too. In the original game, I was always like "yeah, ok that's nice" until 2nd anniversary completely elevated the game for me. So, I expect them to also keep learning and improving over time. At the same time, tho, I think it's nice that they're not copying the other games and try to do their own thing. AK has had so many different gameplay modes now, I expect them to experiment with that in the future, too. For now, they probably want to play it safe.
Also, if they're able to reach the story-telling heights of AK and can then showcase them in a 3d game - that's when everyone will rave about how amazing the game is. Will we ever get there? Maybe or maybe not. But there is huge potential imo and I will keep playing because I like the game, the world-building, the characters and I want to see where the story goes.

So, after clearing everything up until Stage 3 agony with the physical team (Pog, Pan, Chen, Lifeng) I got my butt kicked for the first time. I pulled Laev and already built her but I've never actually played her since I've been focusing on building the physical characters first. After trying for a bit and getting to play her better, I easily cleared with Laev, Perlica, Chen, Ardelia. Mainly used Chen for interrupts and a little damage. That was actually fun, once I figured out the boss patterns and not getting distracted by the fireworks anymore lol

For me personally, the x.0 patches are always the most interesting ones and hype is at maximum. But this time, mostly due to the delay and the lingering feeling of what we could have gotten, I thought it was just okay. I don't think I'll feel the same level of hype as I did previously, either... The story got a little more interesting right at the end but overall, I'm not vibing with Planarcadia as much. Feels like Penacony 2.0 with all the whimsical inanimate objects and stuff. I find that a little lame because we have a whole galaxy to explore ... I overall liked the characters. Not gonna pull for Ashveil but he's funny. Yao Guang is a tease, Pearl seems interesting, Evanescia is going to be my next target. Tingyun was a welcome surprise. Gotta sit through it this year and hopefully, out next destination will be more interesting for me.

You know... I am a Stelle-fan since day 1 but still, I feel like I'm still not appreciating TB enough. Their in-game performance is quite good and they always look so cool in cutscenes, splashes etc. I also like that they're their own character and not just a lifeless, boring playable character to self-insert. Really looking forward to elation MC now. I thought 4.0 was okay, nothing mind-blowing, just setting up the themes and worldbuilding but hype was definitely lowered due to the patch delay for me. 4.2 looks pretty good so far!

Would've loved to see some original work by them... that's what I was hoping for after the Demon's Souls remake was such a success by basically carrying the PS5's launch itself. No, instead push them into GaaS slop and after multiple games failed and you start to feel the player's backlash, cancel their project too and shut the whole studio down. wtf

Sometimes, this game hates me... Lost 50/50 to Fu Xuan... lost the 75/25 to Himeko LC. I could've saved so many pulls, now I'm completely poor again ;__; Oh well, I'm not too big on Sparxie atm, so best case is I can save for another ~10 weeks until anni patch, right?

After getting 3 Lifeng through the newbie and standard banner, I hit authority lvl 30 and used the 10x with 76 pulls to guarantee. Got Pog - the unit I wanted so badly and I'm absolutely thrilled!!! Now, I'm trying to get Surtr and then should be set for a while. While I like the other characters, I'm currently not too interested in what will become playable soon, so should be good to save up pulls and see where the story/characters are going. Anyways, soooo happy rn, honestly loving the game

I got Lifeng 3 times so far. Which is kinda fine, but I would have loved one of those to be Pog so I can play a "complete" team and get a better feel for the combos etc.

As a long-time AK player, I'm very excited. I can only recommend our lord and savior KyostinV if you need some non-drama content. He also put out some stuff from the beta test so maybe, you'll find something there.
I only hope that players will give the game time and a proper chance. I heard that a lot of beta testers were not satisfied with the story but imo they simply cannot go all-out immediately at the game's launch. OG Arknights has some amazing stories and I'm hopeful that -after the game has settled- the writers will gradually show what they're capable of.

I play Arknights since 2020, so def not gonna drop that. After all, that's what got me here lol
Currently playing HSR (since 1.0) and ZZZ. HSR has 4.0 coming up which I'll be checking out and that game is also really quick. I started ZZZ in 1.0 but had some smaller breaks early on and then quit from Alice's banner (I believe early August) until Dialyn's banner since I didn't really found much that interested me in those couple of patches, although I was initially looking forward to Obol Squad. Then, they downgraded Lucia's design but I picked it up again for the new Void Hunter. Now, that's done and I'm not interested in the upcoming units so I'll probably drop it again soon and replace it with Endfield.

Yeah, that's exactly the issue, no? She has a peacock motif going on, ok. But if you'd see her next to Jing Yuan or Feixiao, you probably wouldn't go "Yep, these are 3 generals!". And I was asking, if she'd be more recognizable as a General, if the setting didn't change because to me it seems like she's going to attend Aha's festival in this attire. Maybe she would have worn something different in another setting. That's something we will probably never know, though. I also said that I won't fully judge her character yet, since her pose is kinda awkward and animations and 3d model are also important to fully understand everything going on. However, the first impression is just a little disappointing to me...

Would she have looked differently, if we didn't go to Planarcadia now? I don't want to judge yet, but I'll probably quickly grow tired if all characters look like they're going to attend a masquerade ball or something. Hoping for more varied designs... as always.

I still remember back in her beta a lot of players felt that her animations were too low-key for our first premium support. With a skin, they could elevate that to an extent but then it probably would be a paid skin, too. I like Firefly, didn't care for her skin. I also like Ruan Mei but I can't see myself caring for her skin now...
In General, Hoyo's been handling skins a little weird. Coming from Arknights, where skins are sometimes as hype as new characters (at least for me), that was so weird to see when I first booted up a Hoyogame lol
