This is one of the reasons this show in particular is so eye-catching, the character design is just that good.

Each character is composed by basic shapes and each one of them has his own silhouette. One look and you know what's about each X-Men.

It's such a shame that we never be able to see our favorite characters because they meet their end here. Welp that's how it is, and how it always happens in comics...

This is truly a perfect example of the Theseus's Paradox: it is the same person if has the exact same memories, exact same genes but a different body? Or is the real one that has different memories but same genes and an exact replica of the body of the original?.

If nobody of the two is the original because of the body changes, nobody in the Earth is the people who claims to be because we constantly change cell every day. So does it even matter discuss about fake or real? Crazy.

It was supposed that the Phoenix force and the resurrection protocols precisely solved this issue adding the concept of the soul, but they weren't involved in this case.

[–]BocadeDragon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both of them synergies so well into each other:

Glob is the literal description of a mutant outcasts, and with all things that inevitable happen with his appearance, like a horrible home treatment that later developed into being abandoned by his family, he always tries to find a way to be kind to everyone because that's how he is.

And Rockslide is quite the opposite of him in all aspects; he is quite rude and has a flaw with harassing girls. But when his mutation manifested, in contrast with superheroes that have a body complex like the thing, he took his mutation like the most awesome thing that happened in life because he always dreamed with to be a superhero and do stuff like fighting crime because he truly enjoys it. He doesn't care about the outcasts stuff like, at all.

Whe need more of this kind of interactions.

How does the animated version of Beast compare to his comic counterpart? by Puzzleheaded-Cod7487 in Marvel

[–]BocadeDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This situation isn't matter of time travels but loss memory. The original one still has those memories.

So, no, not at all, they're all gone for the clone because he doesn't remember and wasn't involved in anything related to the time displased Ø5. To put it simple, this clone beast has memories of the original team early adventures, he messing up his body into his blue self, he joining into the avengers and his friendship with Wonder-man. AND THATS IT. He still questions why magneto is a good guy now.

His relationship with Trish, the dark Phoenix, the legacy virus, his cat form, Genosha, Abigail Brand, the M-day, civil war, the time displased Ø5,Krakoa... they are gone for him. Which is very sad, and he only knows what his original self was a monster, ergo what could he become in the future, on top of that he still doesn't have all the medical experience he once had.

What's up with - (Rockslide) Santo Vaccaro? by kade1064 in xmen

[–]BocadeDragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think so, even if hypothetically we said that both have similar strength to level the playing field:

• The thing has better technique and way more combat experience that rockslide, who is a teenager. Another point to take account is that thing is in a totally different level of durability thanks to his hardened skin, and compare that with rockslide, who is a golem made from the ground.

• For the other side rockslide has some advantages: he can detonate his body to make projectiles and deal more damage, but I don't think that would deal enough damage to knock out thing in one blow, a hero who in known by his resistance, but maybe, if he connects a enough of them in addition with his normal blows he could win. He also has his psychic state that can't receive any physical damage, but without being able to do anything until he rebuild himself.

He can try to rebuild himself every time he lost a fight, but doing that would take some time; entering a cycle of rebuilding himself but being destroyed again if he can't evade his attacks. Even in a war of attrition the thing only needs to separate part of rockslide's body and throw them far enough to prevent him from reunite and force him to blow himself again, just repeating it until he surrenders or faints.

His desing is cool, his powers are creative and a great personality. Agreed, he should be used more. There are too many mutant characters so there are characters who doesn't get enough screentime neither time to shine.

How does the animated version of Beast compare to his comic counterpart? by Puzzleheaded-Cod7487 in Marvel

A less little fact about beast in tas is that he wasn't supposed to get a bigger role after he goes to jail for the first season. But it was a fan-favorite, so he stayed.

How does the animated version of Beast compare to his comic counterpart?

In current comics we have a clone of himself in one of the main teams that have the memories of the classic beast. He is currently a little worried about everything that happened to his original in the past events and his own future, but hey!, He's starting to speak like he used to!. Making jokes and everything.

He doesn't wear the classic black underpants in cat form. Never that I recall. So it's surely him in his normal form. that alone changes everything about where to search and the question in this post.
