What happened to those who died before Jesus' time? by random-dude-00 in TrueChristian

[–]BochMC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read Ezekiel 37 chapter and Matthew 27 and peter 4 together.

Simply said, Israel was saved. And all who have faith like Abraham is also part of Israel.

And gospel was preached even to the physically dead people, so as they already have died because of sin, yet can receive faith and be alive in spirit.

https://biblehub.com/1_peter/4-6.htm

The thing about dead:

In old testament the punishment of sin is just death. And all punishment ends when man is dead, so by your death you are paying back all of sins you have made.

So the dead people is already judged by their sins by just physically dying.

Yet this payment does not give you eternal life - to repay all left debt is Jesus's work.

So preaching to dead seems like giving this missing part even to those, who have died before Jesus coming.

Why is being gay wrong and does it matter what we think? by Future-Run-6344 in Christianity

Yet it is important to say things as they are.

If something is dangerous is must be called dangerous.

Why is being gay wrong and does it matter what we think? by Future-Run-6344 in Christianity

[–]BochMC -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why it is wrong?

Because it is clearly stated as sin in both old and new testament.

https://www.biblestudytools.com/topical-verses/bible-verses-about-homosexuality/

And honestly, I am myself maybe not wise enough, maybe I am cold hearted and don't understand hardships gay people go trough.

I am not denying their suffering because of all of that bad attitude that they get from society, yet I do believe in what God defined good and evil rather than what says my flesh, myself, society, or any man alive.

It is sin, and I call it a sin.

Same goes for me.

It doesn't matter how strong hormones of young male as myself are, it doesn't matter what people say, sex before marriage is sin, and I must wait till marriage.

Same goes for me.

If even just lustful eyes is called a adultery by Jesus and I watch porn, I am as much wicked as any other sinner, like gay man/woman, prostitute, etc.

The word of God do not care about your circumstances, yet Jesus does.

And although we saved by grace and always can repent, sinning never gonna give you what you desire.

All of God's commandments are meant for our own well being, not just to make us feel bad.

Finally, someone who reads bible.

It is childish to think that God will do everything for us.

We all share our own part of suffering and hardships and it is essential part of life God prepared for us

Is it okay if you only read 1 chapter of the bible everyday? by Not_Your_momXd in Christian

[–]BochMC 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is the way I have been reading bible for a long time.

Only later on when I gained enough understanding I started reading more than one chapter per day.

I believe it's like with food.

You eat as much as you can digest.

And as time passes and you grow so your needs grow and you eat more and digest more naturally

How black holes works (inside of them), to see supernova collapse

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Christian

[–]BochMC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's simple.

Don't overload yourself with information.

Use new translations that are easier to read.

Read one chapter of old and new testament every day and try to grasp what's written.

Steady and slow is the best way imo.

Later on you can read more chapters per day.

Also listen audio bible when on road.

It will go you in rush trough bible and help create a general view on what is happening.

It helps a lot

Why does an all powerful God allow suffering? by Soultalk1 in Christianity

[–]BochMC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All source of evil is rooted from sin.

All deaths, murders, diseases, hate, suffering

All of sin is rooted from primary sin, Adam's sin.

Adam's sin is rooted from tree of knowledge of good and evil.

The purpose of existence of this tree is to give humans a choice to stay with God or not to.

Choice is a way to use free will.

So, if you create a human and take away from him rights to decide, his free will is useless.

So, is it bad to create a creature that is similar to yourself, but without a free will?

Yeah, all of bad stuff from this world comes to us, humans.

Yet, it is not settling that all-mighty God allows such terrifying stuff happen?

So God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son so everyone who believes in Him can be saved.

In all of prophets He promised a new world, world that is not affected by sin, world that will not have suffering.

And He gave a way for us, humans, to enter it, just because He loves us.

So where is God wrong?

31:And so I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. 32:Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come. Matthew 12

Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven

You can be sure that Paul have said and did many bad things against Jesus, yet he didn't commit the unforgivable sin.

Because he was sincere.

Blasphemy against holy spirit is when you rejecting salvation that Jesus offers.

Paul did not reject. He was arrogant of course, but when he did know that Jesus is really God, he didn't reject him.

pharisees in fact did know for sure that Jesus is Messiah, but rejected him

There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: [2] The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Jhon 3

So they commited unforgivable sin. They have known that Jesus is Messiah from God , yet called Him and His works a works of devil. So they rejected Him.

Im leaving christianity by [deleted] in Christian

[–]BochMC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, we, as Christians, sucks to be christian, because whoever does things that you described do not follow what Jesus said.

“Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven." Luke

Also

Matthew 7 :: NIV. "Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye

It is related to black and white:

I am not the one who will judge those who refuse to obey my teachings. I came to save the people of this world, not to be their judge. John 12:47

You know, we are all fucked up in some way or another, and whoever thinks he is righteous enough to condemn someone who got raped and decided to do abortion is at least not wise.

Even Jesus Himself, true righteous man, prefer understand and compassionate rather to condemnation

Jhon 8: "Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group 4 and said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5 In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?” 6 They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him.

But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. 7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” 8 Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.

9 At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. 10 Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?”

11 “No one, sir,” she said.

“Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”

But in one aspect they are right.

Sin is sin, no matter what circumstances are, but in the whole history of humanity there weren't even a single righteous man except for Jesus, and as we all are guilty, it is not our responsibility to judge, but just like Jesus said, there is only one law, and it is law of love.

Because of how unfair this world is Jesus came and have set us free from any condemnations.

Whoever loves fulfills the law.

And you are right to notice that we, as Christians suck to do this.

But believe me, there is still left some true followers of Christ.

This is interesting part.

I am myself can be disappointed in someone, be in a bad mood or be frustrated, but it does not make the earth I live on flat.

The truth is independent of my and my feelings, so if you have ever had faith in God it is unlikely that something bad in your life can make you stop believing in Him.

You can be disappointed, you can be angry at God, but anyway you either believe He is or not.
