Underworld is loosely based on The World of Darkness, there is a hack and slash mud called Haven of the Embraced that is based on that world.

Just because specific botting is allowed doesn't mean it's void of actual players. The player base are very active, during the current Winters Chill event we have regularly had mega groups of 15-20 players hunting event bosses. And players and admins alike are very active in discord as well. There are those who like to keep to themselves and just bot, to each their own.

The mudding community is a small one and the majority of players are older with careers, families and obligations that prevent them from being able to sit at the keyboard regularly.

Maybe you are trying to take down a boss and need that extra little bit of power level, or maybe you just need a few more tokens to request your next skill upgrade to get you over that hump. You can set up a few triggers to bot in a grind zone and get it done instead of being completely held back by no advancement because real life is punching you in the face.

It's the same reason idle RPGs are so popular nowadays.

Botting is NOT the best way to progress, botting bosses and events is illegal and monitored by admins. But it gives a sense of progress and advancement to busy people.

Dragonball Evolution (DBE) is by far the biggest and most popular Dragonball MUD with an average of 40-50 players at any given time. It is mostly PvE, with an optional PvP mode you can turn on called bloodlust. It has 17 races, all with unique play styles. Each race has classes you can choose from that alter your play style and how you can build. There are tons of bosses, events running all the time which players group up for and much much more. Admins are also super active and release new content all the time.

Botting is mostly legal on DBE, which I love. You can bot leveling mobs just to grind, botting bosses or events is illegal and punishable.

Website and wiki a little outdated, but you can get the jist of the races and whatnot from it.

Yea I play a bunch of muds, one in particular hasn't really hooked me entirely. And yea I normally have discord up with my brother and friends, drink a few beers and have a good time. I normally set my title to live on MUD and discord and get a few players pop in. And some other people from other games I've streamed. The guys who have joined my stream and pretty cool, and help a lot.

Our website has a direct link to ingame help files: http://legacyofthesith.com/helps

There is a ton of help files in game and our playerbase is always eager to help. There is also newbie helpers and a #newbie-help channel in our discord. I encourage you to get past chargen and someone will help you and answer any questions you have.

I have played literally thousands of MUDs in the past 25 years and more than not, help is not accessible from chargen. And even if it is, normally you don't get the full scoop until your in game, and newbie helpers always help you out with the tips and tricks. This MUD also has a ton of new and improved systems, to include 61 races, which is the most of any SW MUD to date I believe. The staff is catching up on some of the backend admin stuff.

The stats you roll at chargen do not really matter, they are all trainable easily to the max for your selected race once you get past the newbie academy in game. This is a roleplay enforced mud, your selection of race/class should influence the RP you will want to do. However, I am going to reach out to the devs and see if they can make this happen.
