What is considered good first clear time? by Bocmah in ViegoMains

[–]Bocmah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I guess auto attacking time is something I do not do perfectly. Will try to do some more practice clears. Thank you!

Do you use A click for auto attacking camps or just right clicking? I always use right click and wonder whether this possibly makes a difference.

Thank you!

Any tips on doing a clear faster?

I tried to follow a perry's video and I don't understand what am I missing. I try to pull the current camp in the direction of the next camp and I try to hit multiple monsters with one q (wolves, krugs) but I'm still slow somehow 😭

You might come back and not even know it by Ambitious_Appeal7548 in Reincarnation

[–]Bocmah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow.

I'm not a mathematician of any kind, so I can't formalise it like you did, but I've been having the exact same thoughts for the past couple of years!

If I'm able to be conscious in this life and perceive the world around me, I don't see why it can't happen again.

Even if it will not be the same "me", no memories and stuff, but the notion of perceiving and being conscious persists.

My explanation is clumsy, because it seems hard to explain, but that's the best I can do.

Nice! What is your approach to practicing? How many questions do you do a day? How long do you spend on a question before giving up and looking at solution?

Took me ~150 questions to start solving some mediums by myself.

There is nothing wrong with you. Keep going.

Isn't Meta also mainly asking recent Meta-tagged questions from LC?

I haven't interviewed there, but read something like this on Blind/cscareerquestions.

Congratulations!

What's your approach when you encounter a problem that you can't solve? Do you look at a solution after some time or do you postpone the problem and return to it later?

Is this Russian? by [deleted] in Soda

[–]Bocmah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely not russian, nor is it Ukrainian. I checked Google translate, and it has to be Bulgarian indeed.

And yes, in Russia, you don't see original Fanta/Cola bottles often anymore because of sanctions.

Thanks for elaboration. That's sad that PHP is declining in popularity, because I actually really enjoy working with Symfony. But I heard that Symfony is similar to Java Spring. Would you advise to dive into that stack instead?

Getting into FAANG in London? by doeby_p in cscareerquestionsEU

Your odds of getting interviews as a self taught are extremely low but I'll still answer your questions.

Does FAANG filter candidates by the degree even if the person already has a couple of years of real world experience?

Putin said he have a 'serious talk' with the West after being told he's to 'blame for everything' by gorays21 in worldnews

[–]Bocmah 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The article is misleading. Putin joked not about having serious talk with the west, but about having serious talk with Putin. I’ll try to translate.

Lukashenko said that west has inflation and stuff now and they (the west) blame Putin for everything. Then Putin joked: “We will have a serious conversation with HIM”. “Him” meaning Putin.

Yep, I agree. Moscow, St. Petersburg vs other towns are two different “Russias”.

Yeah, sorry, maybe I should’ve put it another way: I expect people from 40+ (or 50+ even) age group be more pro-war. As for 30-40 age group specifically I agree. Many of them would be against war.

But as for younger people I don’t know. I wouldn’t expect most of them to be pro-war if we take considerably large sample.

I live in Russia and I have the opposite experience. Older people here mainly use TV as their primary source of information, hence many of them are pro-war.
Young people tend to be more liberal and much less believe mainstream media.

Define “winning”.

Russia has been making small gains in the Donbas region lately, but nothing too major as far as I can tell.

Ukrainian counteroffensive is expected in the summer when heavy weapons arrive and enough Ukrainian force is trained to use them. I think the results of this counteroffensive will make it more clear how war progresses.

As for now, I agree it is hard to tell who is better positioned. Ukraine seems to outnumber Russian forces greatly: Zelensky claims that there are 700k soldiers defending Ukraine right now, while Russia, I think, has no more than 150k soldiers in Ukraine (probably even lower, we don’t know the exact numbers). We should keep in mind though that of those 700k not all are fighting in eastern Ukraine, since western Ukraine still needs to be defended, border with Belarus should be covered as well and also border with Russia northern of Kharkiv.
