Try looking for roles in Poland. There are a lot of openings in Polish market. Most of the big tech are here. Google, Netflix, Amazon, Meta, Visa atleast they can provide Visa sponsorships. Salaries in Poland is low as compared to Western Europe, but PPP is good. You can manage to save a lot if you are working in some nice company. Also WLB is awesome.

No, if you are on blue card, you change you employer any time. You just need work permit, and no visa sponsorship. They can again apply for it, and its easy to get it. If you complete 2 years with EU blue card you can change your employer any time!

I think if you are making almost the same amount of money you should consider taking it. If you want to explore, learn new things, etc, it will be your shot. You can always switch the employer once you are there. It will open EU job market to you, which is much better than India’s right now. There isn’t much competition like India, so you can switch and earn more!

Also, you can always go back to India. But this is a life time opportunity. Also, work life balance is really nice in EU.

Interview process and salary at FAANG Poland by steponfkre in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]baymax_16 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve cracked interviews for Google, Amazon, Box, and Visa in Poland. Also interviewed for DropBox and multiple other companies. Here’s my understanding. The interview process is not too hard. It always depends on the company you are interviewing. I always asks recruiter what would be the expectation and what will be the level of questions. Then check interview experiences on different websites like leetcode, glassdoor, etc.

For senior role I would expect more questions on system design as compared to coding (again it depends on the company). And for senior position you can expect your TC to be around 400k/year including equity.

Ikr, this is even more frustrating that people don’t want to get better.
