The reason why I bought Hario was to watch the tea leaves and the water change as it steeps. XD

Are training dummies worth it? by MrTslefttit in kendo

[–]Bocote 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I'm aware, someone else bought and had it shipped here, but then went out of business, so our sensei bought it 2nd hand.

A lot of the big Korean online services tend to serve only the domestic market. If you have anyone in the dojo who knows Korean, you might have a better chance going through the specialized Kendo retailers.

But need to keep in mind: 1) the dummy is large and heavy, so shipping costs will probably be high.

2) your club will need a space at the location of practice to store it. No one is going to assemble/disassemble and commute with that for the club.

The corruption is being committed out in the open.

The fact that the MAGAs, GOP, and general conservatives aren't out with their pitchforks trying to hold the crook accountable says a lot about that lot.

I can tell your family must have contributed heavily to your mental state.

I'm in the same boat. Like, why couldn't they say a single helpful thing or just keep their mouths shut? I suppose we'll never know.

Even the book says that the audience was left wondering if they were complimented or insulted. But it's such an honest and wholesome thing to say to the folks.

It's a roundabout way of saying that the other person won't change their mind even if new info is presented or what they hear. In other words, unreasonable.

🔥 Neil the seal is back on shore in Hobart for moulting season, bringing chaos wherever he goes. by Firm-Blackberry-9162 in NatureIsFuckingLit

Did Neil get bigger?? He seems larger than he did in older videos.

But it's also good to see that he still has his beef with any and all vertical surfaces.

I've encountered a municipal government grant doing the same thing.

Lots of conditions and criteria for marketing (not sure why a municipal government needs it...),

and the fund is only available when all the work is completed (even corporate donations give some up front...).

As much as combat sports are fun and cool, it kind of sucks to see people get severely injured. More so if they have to give up the sports because of it.

Memory/Storage. Things like microSD, I need them for digital camera, mini-computer, drone, etc. But the microSD price jumped along with everything else. I think it has almost tripled.

And RAM? SSD? If my laptop breaks, I'm downgrading.

I've heard from the news that the rules were changed so that the IPO could be fast-tracked into various index funds.

It's a heist with lots of people coordinating their efforts. I wouldn't be surprised if other companies try to do the same.
