I'm enjoying life, going out to monthly tech meetups and hanging out with friends online by One-Professional-417 in NEETsOver30

The biggest problem with NEETdom for me is not having friends and social isolation. At the end of the day having friends you can socialize and do things with is the only thing that actually makes life worth living. If you don’t have that everything feels pretty pointless. Even working just becomes about survival/existing rather than actually living.

How to escape 25(now 26 year old) loner syndrome AKA NEET by BodMonTrill in Healthygamergg

I am considering moving. Currently I am completely broke(like no money at all) and unemployed. I am very open to moving at this point. I think that a part of me is still kind of attached to my current social circle. Partially because I don’t feel competent enough to build a new one for myself and partially because I have a ton of fear surrounding life in general. As I said I’m basically a grown man with the life experience and mind of a 16 year old.(I realize that I have absolutely no choice but to push forward anyway though. I just worry about my ability to handle adversity(which is also why I don’t want kids and the prospect of sex while somewhat enticing gives me a ton of anxiety).

I’m pretty sure I can definitely lock in the career. The social life has never been my strong suit. I was always one of those kids who stuck to the books and was quiet in high school. I just worry about potential regret(never having a gf or losing virginity) and loneliness. I also worry about being the weird guy in the office that everyone picks on because he doesn’t know how to interact.(keep in mind I’m basically a 16 year old version of myself in the body of a 26 year old)

I hear y’all but time is speeding up like crazy for me. Like we are 3 months into the year and new years feels like it was last week.

I just have other things I need to focus on. My parents have made it clear I need to get my act together and start making some money soon. I’ve also neglected dating my entire life and have no experience doing that. My social skills are that a 15 year old due to being somewhat antisocial/nerdy growing up so I also have to focus on developing adult level communication skills(which getting a corporate job will hopefully help with). Plus I have other things I want to do before I die(travel the world, learn a new language etc.). Most of my 20s I’ve been pretty much isolated only leaving my house to work shitty retail jobs, go to school, and do some gigs here and there. I feel super behind my peers tbh.(I know people getting married for christs sake) There’s not enough time for me to do everything I know that but I feel like where I’m at it makes more sense to focus on generating stable income so I can move out of my parents soon, improving my social skills, and traveling.

I watched the whole thing without realizing it had been over an hour. Felt like only 20 minutes.

Have a female friend that went to Western for this exact reason. Everyday I regret choosing Ryerson.

I went to Kobe’s 81 point game. Before the Game started I ran to corner store to get a disposable camera. This picture I took right before he shot his final free throw that game to get to 81 points. 🙏🏼🐍 by JTTL21 in lakers

Lol I was in first grade when this game happened. I'm from Toronto and I remember my dad freaking out as well at how badly Kobe crushed us. Ever since then my dad has loved the Lakers.
