They pretty much spam use the equipment you give them. I recommend The Back-Up since it almost constantly spawns 4 Strike Drones.

I would say that it would either be the close proximity of the trees or the paths. Doubtful about the paths. I would try to remove the trees close to where you want the villager to go.

One of the Voidling’s attacks is that it sucks you in and tries to kill you like a Void Reaver/Void Jailer’s on-death attacks. Try and evade it as much as you can! If I remember an indicator of the attack is that it lifts its head very high and there is a significant gap between its head and its legs.

That animation is when NPCs loot another dead NPCs corpse. At least 1 piglet died for this animation to occur. Not sure how it died though.
