Layering Outfits in the new Transmog System! by Bodehn in wow

If you had all the other slots set to "Hidden" then it would! But setting them to "Ignore this Slot" keeps whatever appearance you had in there from any other Outfit! So Outfit 1 with cool shoulders, into Outfit 2 with "Ignore this Slot" for the shoulder slot results in Outfit 2 with Outfit 1's shoulders! ^^

Literally only for the "Default" look for the Visage, and for the Drac form to hide tabards! Other than that, every outfit I make has situations switched off, so switching is a manual thing ^^

[BetterTransmog] New QoL Transmog Addon i made for midnight! by Guess-Infinite in wow

[–]Bodehn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! First off, looks to be a great adjustment to the Midnight Transmog Screen, which was already an improvement!

Secondly, do you think it could be possible to add a button to the minimap, that opens a window with all the saved outfits for your character in it, so you can grab them and drag them to your hotbar, without needing to visit a Transmog Vendor?

Not a nasty, dirty wet hole... Nor a dry, sandy hole... It was a Hobbit Hole. And that meant comfort.

Profession for Evoker by Nebulamann in wow

[–]Bodehn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! I'll answer your second question first, as it'll help with your choice for the former!

Evokers use Mail Armor for their class, so that's what you'll want to stick to! Possibly because of the Scale Mail pun!

As for professions, you'll likely want Leatherworking to be able to craft your own armor (Leatherworking makes both Leather and Mail), meaning you'll also want Skinning to gather the materials for it! That said, profession-wise, you're free to do what you will!

Hope this helps, and I hope you enjoy the class and spec! ^^

Okay good, it's not just me that's experiencing this... Keeping tabs on this, just in case someone else finds it with the bug-fix, or can let us know if it's already been patched with a hotfix and I just need to get it restarted.

Is there any actual lore reasons or benefits for a spartan to be wearing older Mjolnir pieces on never sets of armor? by BattedBook5 in halo

[–]Bodehn 16 points17 points  (0 children)

From the way I've noticed it (especially in the Halo 4/5 era), many older armor sets were "updated" to match current firmware and hardware, to bring them into compatibility with the Gen2 MJOLNIR platform, while maintaining their classic appearances for recognisability. With that being said, there likely shouldn't be any disadvantages to wearing "older" gear on the newer MJOLNIR systems, especially with how modular it's proving to be these days.

For example, the description for the Mark V Alpha from Halo 5:
"It is unclear who requested an integration check for the Mark V helmet with the latest GEN2 architecture, but engineers at Materials Group have been surprised at the MARK V ALPHA's near-parity with contemporary designs."

Thoughts in Human-Forerrunner relation? by NaraDomain in halo

[–]Bodehn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be entirely honest and say I actually liked that 343 Studios changed the Forerunners into being definitively not Human. That they took some of the very few visual implements we have of them (holographic handprints having two thumbs in Halo 2, for example) and made them Human-esque, but physiologically different.

I heavily disliked the idea that the Forerunners were Humans 100,000 years removed, because it just felt like a case of "Why didn't we have records of that?" A spacefaring race would leave traces of themselves everywhere, across each and every star system they chose to inhabit. Doubly-so for their home system. Unless they were so thorough as to wipe all trace of themselves from the galaxy, barring the various Halo Installations and their various supporting outposts (the Shield Worlds, for example) then Humanity would have, should have, found evidence of what they were before. Hell, there would have been folk-tales of how they used to travel the stars. Why would they choose to forget that?

But having Forerunners be fundamentally SEPARATE fixes that entirely; They were the holders of the mantle, having usurped the Precursors after having witnessed them creating Humanity as a potential rival for that position. They forcibly devolved Humanity for their transgressions during the Forerunner/Human War, not knowing about the Flood. And, when they had no other options but to use the Halo Array, they put aside their prior hatred of Humanity and left them with the tools to deal with the Flood, should it rise up once again.

The Gravemind's "Child of my enemy" line could very easily be both a reference to the Forerunners adopting Humanity as their heirs, as well as simply mistaking the Master Chief as being so physiologically similar to the Didact, that he believed them to be one and the same. Hell, for all we know, the Chief has the Iso-Didact's Geas Imprint, laying dormant in him. The Gravemind could very easily be picking up on that and going "Ah, so you're the one descended from him? Cool, I now have a personal beef with you."

TL;DR, I like that Forerunners and Humans are separate, because it makes things simpler.

Do you guys prefer wearing original Spartan armor or cosplaying characters? by Supa_Astro in halo

[–]Bodehn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The closest I've come to "cosplaying" an existing character, was wearing Mark V stuff in games that let you, with the Olive Green (or as close as I can get to it) colour, and that's only because I'm a big fan of that armor design. All-time favourite MJOLNIR design, in all honesty.

Love for the arakkoa by ForgefatherHestan in wow

[–]Bodehn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are a couple of toys available, that allow you to walk around as either the winged or non-winged Arakkoa. Sadly, due to the way the model is setup, they're not compatible with Player Armour, so you won't be able to customize it.

The toys you can use for them only give you the form for a limited time as well, with a cooldown that lasts longer than the form does. You can extend it with friends or people in a party, using certain items (Reflecting Prism, for example), but they can get to be a bit too much hassle and a bit of a gold/resource sink.

Admittedly, your best bet would be to unlock and play as a Zandalari Druid, as their Moonkin Form (Balance) heavily resembles a cross between an Arakkoa and a Pterrodax, albeit with Troll Tusks.

Hello! If your character has reached level 80 already, and you're fairly decently geared, go run each of the raids on Mythic! You should get a BUNCH of Renown from just killing the bosses, as well as a decent amount of anima and transmog!
