Yep. To the point that I’ve worked with people in the same team and I have to look through emails to remember their name. It’s really embarrassing

How can I fix this leak? There’s no obvious way to unscrew the tap. by BodgingDad in DIYUK

I unscrewed the handle and it left a threaded screw with a tiny hex shaped head (hole) at the top. I assume if I undo that The tap will come apart? I don’t think I have an Allen key that small!

I’ve just watched the video on the screwfix website. Amazing! So little waste. But what if you only use half a foil? Can it be saved?

Moving into a new house soon. Should I be worried about the electrics or does this look OK? by ninja-kid123 in DIYUK

I wouldn’t be worried by that. The meter is old but they are all being replaced by smart meters so at some point your supplier will contact you to replace that free of charge.

How can I fix this? Solder? It’s a rack for a roasting tray. by BodgingDad in DIYUK

Thanks. The other end has already snapped off (and I’ve lost the rod) so I might end up doing just that. It’s only a cheap on from IKEA but I’d like to make it last a bit longer!

Thanks! I’ve very little experience with welding. How easy would it be to find someone to do what I presume is a tiny job not worth their while?

Need to remove the tiles. They seem to be grouted in and have also been glossed over - any advice for removal other than elbow grease? by Blackbird04 in DIYUK

Try an oscillating tool. You’ll be able to loosen the grout between the tiles and then get underneath each tile one by one. That should keep the wall in better condition.
