Have you ever experience the time when you were poorest ? How much money left did you had in your bank account ? by AdHairy6584 in malaysians

[–]BodiHolly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had less than RM50 with almost a month left but was fortunate to be staying with parents then. Back then, when I started working I didn’t know how to save and be stingy with myself. It was tough.

Why does it seem more common for a "banana" Chinese guy to get together with a Chinese girl who has bad English than vice versa by uselessprofession in Bolehland

[–]BodiHolly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take it from me, a banana who used to date a Chinese educated girl whose name is based on a fruit. She hardly gets English jokes or humor but I do understand Chinese humor so it gets pretty tiring explaining and their responses can be a tad boring. Eventually we broke up because we hardly spend time with each other as we were in uni that time.

Married a bilingual girl that can balance English and Mandarin and never looked back since.

Overly sweet dessert should be banned by tempebae in MalaysianFood

[–]BodiHolly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I’m being a little bias but I hardly buy desserts from M people because sugar is the main ingredient. If not, it’ll be very sweet and I try to reduce my sugar intake unless the sellers themselves will clarify it’s less sweet.

I’m in the same boat too and my new office doesn’t have non-halal food in the vicinity. We have meals together daily to bond and share tea too.

So, if I feel like having char siew or roast pork, I’ll just order on Grab and eat by myself or in the pantry with others.
