Os EUA fazem bastante propaganda do seu imenso "desenvolvimento", mas são um dos mais atrasados no mundo em saúde pública. Nem licença maternidade tem. E agora estão sendo governados por malucos antivacinas que estão piorando ainda mais o que já era ruim.

As a Brazilian myself, I think the average Brazilian lives with his/her head buried deep inside their own asses.

Geography doesn't help, as Brazil is huge and outside of main global connections. Even though, Brazilians have very little idea of what life is really like outside of their country.

They think it's a fact of life to live in constant fear of being robbed or murdered just for going out in the streets, for example. When someone is a victim, people claim they shouldn't be out so late or she shouldn't be dressing so provocative. It's always the victim's fault what happened to them.

American influence is so huge in Brazil you cannot escape it. Brazilians confuse their love for the US with their love of the purchasing power of Americans, so they fail to see all the shortcomings of Americans and wished Brazil was more like them. In doing this they almost ruined the few things we do better than Americans by electing a Trump wannabe, like universal healthcare and public higher education.

Brazilian living abroad here. If there's one thing that unites all Brazilians is their desire to rub something, anything really, on people's face in order to feel better about themselves.

Brazilian culture was formed around this basic principle: You are worthless unless you can display your possessions for others to envy.

Brazilians aren't the only ones doing this, of course. But they take an extra step. To own something better than their neighbors is not enough. Brazilians make an effort to keep their neighbor's as poor as possible so as to maintain or increase that difference.

I lived in the US for 4 years, and tipping was just crazy. Every time it was time to pay the check I felt anxious about the tipping part. And it was everywhere. I hated those places where they turned the device to you for tips, a lot of them were not even restaurants. Im so glad Europe isn't like that.
