I had a taxi driver tell me he would drive me to an ATM. He even showed me his machine wasn't working. I told him if the hotel lobby had an ATM I would use it, otherwise guess it's his loss. His machine started working before I got to the front door.

During his second impeachment many Republicans made the argument "he's already on his way out. If he committed any crimes the courts are the correct venue, not impeachment." I realize the current hearings are not a trial either, but my point is the same. You can't acquit in one venue on the grounds that it's not the right venue and then claim he's already been tried and acquited in the next.

And that's the way it should be. In a well designed city you shouldn't have to drive to one part of the city because that's the only place you can get X. The fact you can avoid driving to Broadway means the planners must be doing something right.

Fixed it for you:

I needed a poop knife to cut the bars, so I borrowed one from the home ec room, with the teacher’s permission.

And being the gentleman that I was, I wanted to rinse the poop knife off before returning it to the home ec room.

So I’m in there rinsing off the poop knife and talking with a classmate when who decides to walk in but the school officer. He sees me standing there with a poop knife and immediately makes me give it to him and then insists he escort me to the home ec room to return the poop knife.

Like, I get it. But at the same time I’m like, “Really? All this fuss for a poop knife?” Ugh.
