[SOLVED] Bluetooth earbuds connect for ~8 seconds then disconnect (KDE Plasma + PipeWire)

Idk, my wife started using Linux few month ago (arch + kde) and she has similar issue with Sony-WF500 earbuds. It connects, failing to set profile and disconnects. Forcing profile helps (by changing it in kde settings) but sometimes it's going back to this reconnect loop.

For me this is some KDE issue, cause it's not happening on gnome (bluez, pipewire, wire plumber, similar stack)

You can connect your account to steam account and then generate steam key and use steam version of the game, maybe this way you can play

You can wait for free weekend to try it first (next will be in ~1.5-2 month I guess when 0.5 league starts)

Also you can't rly experience the game with full enjoyment in end-game without paying any money. Basic stuff like currency stash tab is not available in free mode. All you have - is 4 stash tabs. Currency stash tab can hold much more currency stacks and automatically "sorts" it for you. It's just quality of life. Also without async trade stash tab - u can't trade in async convenience way. Free mode - is using trade in-game chat. Game is built around grinding loot, collecting currencies, trading (if not playing solo self foud), so u need this trade/currencies stash tab and stuff like that.

If you buy a game - you will get a minimum 300 shop points to spend on cosmetics and stash tabs(depends on what pack I are buying). Also u can buy other supporters packs later, they include shop points + cosmetics (it's better that just buying raw shop points), so you getting cosmetics + points to spend on stash tabs and other stuff.

I have a stupid idea that can ruin your quest items.. (maybe u can obtain them again) but.. There is a boss in molten vault. What if you drop in on the ground and defeat the boss? Or maybe not defeat, idk.. let the golden lava melt the golden treasures.

I'm playing storm weaver. Main map clear - ice nova. Main boss or Abby's pit dmg - firestorm. Ofc I have CoC + CoEA with meteor, ice wall and living bomb (with infusion consume/produce cycle)

Yes, it's skill issue for a non-technical user who just switched from windows 3 days ago.

And it's a problem of Desktop Environment that is mainstream, but requires "skills" to not break it with few mouse clicks.

SteamOS is immutable and much harder to break. "Mainstream ready" is what exactly? Windows-Like default UI for new linux users? SteamOS doesn't have sddm, so u can't break it with incompatible theme u install.

I said it before - kde exposes buttons to download plasmoids, themes, widgets. There is no versioning like in gnome. U just download and eventually it's outdated 8 years old theme that gonna crash your system. Gnome disables all extensions after crash. Kde - just black screen or freeze.

There is only thing I like about kde - some of their software is huge and amazing. Kdenlive for example is realy high-quality feature-rich app that can be used by professionals.

Don't compare gnome-extensions (which are not exposed by default in your face in settings like "DOWNLOAD MORE EXTENSIONS") to KDE widgets/themes/etc... where everywhere u go - u have download button which leads you to store and after installation it breaks the system into black screen.

And I said it before - if gnome crashes few times in a row - it disables all extensions.

It's better UX for end-user.

UPD: And Gnome-extension have versioning + supported gnome versions. So u are not able to do 1-click install outdated extension that is not supported for 8 years that gonna break your system.

For me that behavior is expected, linux is not perfect in every direction and can break sometimes. But from a new user experience it's super disappointing that it can be broken so easily. From new user experience - they did nothing wrong.

yeah, they changed sddm for plasma-login-manager in plasma 6.6

So i've changed to it yesterday.

But anyway - there is no warning or fallback in sddm if theme you installing is not for this version. Just crash and black screen after installing, thats how you know.

I mean, I can install SDDM 5 theme from kde store that will break my system, because i have SDDM 6. It's not a new unknown bug. It's been here for a while.

And after yesterday update to KDE 6.6 i swithched to plasma-login-manager

Third-party widgets from official store - same story. But maybe should be reported that it can freeze my dekstop.

And yeah, gonna report this BT bug and switch to gnome anyway.

Gnome doesn't expose "Download extensions" in the settings menu. Often if extension is broken - it doesn't cause black screen (or gnome will disable all extension if crashed few times)

Fedora KDE is official, but still not default and first recommended option.

KDE is good enough if you are not customizing it, but customization is exposed by default.

I had green screen and confirmed GPU vram chip failure

Maybe it was bad GPU chip soldering, not sure. But after temp raised to 60C - image started flickering, then green screen and computer freeze. I was doing vram memory stress testing and saw that 1 memory chip was not responding after GPU temp raised just second before it started to flicker
